Chapter 10 by heykiza heykiza

black to the street

the street is empty

the infected were probably still intent on breaking through the door where we had entered, but a group of them had also followed Omar, so you had to pay attention and moreover, hope that the boy had managed to escape.

The idea that my friend could have become a bloody infected **** stirred me, I did not want to see him reduced to that state and probably even Linda, his beloved.

We took the road to the left leaving behind the damn village that had brought us more trouble than anything else. The road we were going through, however, had several paths that stretched into the countryside, so Omar could very well have taken one of those in flight. After all, he was alone and pursued by crazy psychopaths.

Screaming his name was out of the question and I did not know whether to continue along the main road or look around me, the doubt was slowly devouring me.

After a few minutes of Omar's walk, there is still no trace, let alone the infected ones. Everything was peaceful, relaxing as if the world did not know what the hell was happening to him.

<< you say he is alive? >> she asked me in a doubtful voice, she looked at me as they walked side by side.

<< you can swear! omar is a tough one >> replied then smiling at her.

We never got along but at that juncture being united was the only thing that would probably keep us alive ... or sane.
