As I am contemplating which side of the path to stray from, I suddenly notice a leaf falling down on my right. I shrug to it and say to myself, “Might as well.” And so, I stray into the forest to the right.

I’ve already strayed two times before, and it was fun both times. But I wasn’t searching for a Samhain child back then. This time is going to be different. I must have it this time. I must have a Samhain child. Whomever gives it to me will be my savior.

I wander deep into the forest and look around to try and find a man. As I walk between the trees, I can hear some people moaning already. It sounds like at least some people have already partnered up. I hope that’s Logan and the twins emptying their balls. That way I won’t have to worry about them anymore.

It takes a while but eventually I notice a figure walking between the trees. There is enough moonlight for me to see who it is, too far away. I just need to get a little closer. I casually walk into his direction and I think he sees me, because he changes his direction and starts walking straight towards me. I can almost make him out. Just a little more.
