“Well,” Alyson said. “Since we all have such fucked up lives, let’s make it interesting. We’ll play Never Have I Ever with a twist. If you say something and you’re the only one who has never done it, then you have to complete a forfeit/dare. But if there’s a mix of people who have done it and people who haven’t, then everyone who has done it has to compete in a mini game where the loser will complete a forfeit/dare.”

“You make it sound too complicated,” Tyler said. “Basically it’s Never Have I Ever but with dares as a consequence. Let’s all put 5 dares each in a hat. Of course, use neutral terms. And of course, if you don’t like your dare, you can challenge someone, but if you lose then you have to do two dares (the one you picked and one from the person you challenged). So… let’s get started.”

Everyone wrote down five dares and shuffled them into Steph’s beanie. “So who’s up first?”

“Let’s start with the youngest and work around the circle,” Chloe said.

“That’s me,” Daniel said. “Alright, let me think… never have I ever… knowingly traveled back in time.”

Max, Rachel, and Chloe all gulped. Victoria smirked as she was now glad they never told her about Max’s powers. “A simple game of higher card,” Sean said as he shuffled the deck. “No cheating. Whoever draws the lowest card will complete the forfeit.”
