magical handcuff trap!

Rose moved in towards the mage. She angled herself so the mage was between her and the bodyguard, so he couldn't see what she was up to. Then, as she neared the mage, she pretended to stumble, brushing up against the mage. While she did this her hand snaked into her pocket, grasping the first item she felt and pulling free. This was all in one perfectly practiced movement, totally smooth and unnoticeable.

Unfortunately, when she pulled her hand free she saw a manacle lock around her bracelet with a loud 'clack'!

"what the hell?" Rose exclaimed. The manacle was attached to a chain, with another manacle off the other side. Handcuffs! It was a magical trap! The other manacle flew to her other wrist. Before Rose could react, her wrists were bound, locked tightly together.

Though Rose had been quite successfully sneaky, the loud manacles snapping on her wrists caught everyone nearby attention, including the mage and her bodyguard.

"A thief!" The mage exclaimed, pointing at Rose. Rose cursed, knowing that she was now caught red handed!
