Asdrubael Vect was still the undisputed king of Commorragh, but right now, while everyone was far too busy to attack him, Ronald had a crazy thought as he saw Vect being guarded by Lelith Hesperax. Ronald was playing with fire, but he decided to seal the deal by crashing his ship into the two, kidnapping them and escaping with Jaghatai's last forces. After escaping Commorragh, Ronald came forward to offer his assistance, asking for a large Imperial vessel later in exchange for helping Jaghatai get to wherever he wanted now. Considering Jaghatai was on a hive world secretly controlled by Drukhari, he took the offer, asking how to get to safety.

Ronald then told Jaghatai that he wouldn't betray him and that his method was foolproof, as long as they reached space. Since Jaghatai was a Primarch, he could tell Ronald wasn't lying, but he was still untrusting, keeping Ronald and his group on a close leash as Jaghatai's forces stole a ship and got to orbit while under heavy fire. Once in space, Ronald used the Imperial Webway, taking Jaghatai to Guilliman, who just so happened to be at Chogoris with the female primarchs. When he met his brother, Guilliman hugged Jaghatai warmly after a short, hesitant pause, immediately handing Jaghatai his legion and accepting Female Jaghatai's sovereignty as an equal, but stipulating that she could only control 34% of the White Scars and their successors. It was left up to Male Jaghatai to aid Female Jaghatai in being seen as an equal with the same strategic mind.

As for the deal, Guilliman relented, handing Ronald a Gloriana-class battle barge, fully staffed with crewmates willing to do anything Ronald wished. With this ship, Ronald said his goodbyes and began where he left off.
