Chapter 41 by casualsvritter

Who are the members of Angela's former party? Did they part ways on good terms? Is their leader pursuing Angela?

flashbacks to Angela's past

This is a backstory from when Angela was still a teenager. Don't expect anything sexual.

Angela, 15, and Claire, 15, fire genasi, St. Cubert's Castle Monastery, training against the forces of evil.

Angela: Claire, hurry up, we'll get you to fencing lessons! The new trainer is a Celestial! I heard he fought a powerful vampire!

Claire: Sara, but I heard he speaks little common and is confused with the Celestial language, so I don't expect him to be such a good teacher.

Angela: We'll see!

The two ran out of the quarters, joining the line of aspiring paladins to get a lesson from the new teacher.

The teacher was an angelic woman. For a moment, Angela thought she was in the presence of an Assimar like her, but the woman before her seemed more ethereal and radiated a faint sacred light. Angela felt a little jealous.

The Instructor: Greetings, cadets, I'm "Mare la luminosa," Archon of Celestia, and for the next "anno" (years), your instructor (the words in parentheses are traduction in Celestial, the celestial languag=italian language you'll understand why).

Stand in two rows, facing each other, and draw your "armi," then show me how you fight.

Claire: What do you mean, we have to draw our arms? You don't mean we have to fight with fists?

Angela: Perhaps? They never taught me Celestial at home, Mistress Mare! Do we have to fight with fists?

The instructor patiently walks to a barrel full of sticks, points to a stick, and throws one over to her.

Claire: Ah, "arms" in Celestial must mean "stick."

Claire goes to get a stick with the rest of her classmates so we can spar.

After a bit of a scuffle with the other cadets, the instructor stops them.

Instructor: It's a start, we'll make you excellent champions to fight the "male."

Angela: What do you mean, fight the male?

Claire: Oh, I understand or heard that some men mistreat women. I think he's telling us we should defend them and prove ourselves to them. **** to bad men.

Angela: What! That's horrible! I swear to the gods, I'll tear every evil man in my path to pieces!

The instructor shivered, as if she'd done something incredibly wrong, but then she shrugged. At most, she would have straightened out her cadets with appropriate punishment, she wouldn't have allowed her students to stray from the path of fighting the "male."

So Angela and her classmates grew up believing that men were evil. The punishments, intended to correct her, gradually pushed her to develop a perverse taste for being authoritarian and dominant, create her deviance ( as an adult).

At 18, she left the monastery and joined an adventure party, along with her training partner, who became the party leader and her lover. Together, they planned to create their own lesbian harem. That is, until a couple of years later, Angela left the party to found a party with her sister Akari.

Angela brought with her a distorted training background and a rather conflicted romantic history with Claire, now no longer her partner but a potential rival.

Here we move away from the main story to follow Angela's background, what are the vicissitudes of the training during the final stages of the training? (>18 years)
