compramises and cheeseburgers

"Pass the salt, Would ya Star?" I ask while kneading the ground beef. "OH, um...y-yes!" She squeeks cutely before shakeingly handing me the salt. Raven and Jinx are zipping around the kitchen grabing this and that.

"John? Where are the buns?" Raven asks from the cubbard. "Second shelf Dear." I call out. "JOHN! COALS ARE READY!" Jinx calls from the deck. "K!"

The meal was a simple affair but still a chance for the girls to play their 'game'. Unfortuneitly it was ALSO an arena for Jinx and Raven's rivalry to bubble to the surface, by the time we sat down for our meal Raven and Jinx where stareing daggers at eachother.

Poor Starfire was set in the middle of it all. "Star, would you please ask ....HER... to pass the ketchup?" Star trys to comply. "Hey Starfire, would you ask the BIRD to pass the milk?" Star trys to comply again. This goes on for a few more minutes and my anger rises as poor Starfire seems closer to tears fearing her freinds hated eachother.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!!" (I slam my hands on the table startleing the girls.) "Star, you won this round so you can do ANYTHING you want with me tonight." Raven and Jinx start to sputter and seem to be trying to come up with an argument to stall this.

"No!" I simply start. "What ever it is forget it, you two need to work this rivalry of yours out. AND I MEAN NOW." I gently clasp the much confused Starfire's hand and lead her out of the kitchen.

At the last minute I call back to the two misrable girls. "Clean up the mess and you two can sleep with us tonight, but break anything or start a fight, and you sleep on the couch." (I'm not a total ass)
