more work at your desk

Back at your desk you check the PetSure site again, and much to your content it is still working as it should. Great.

You read your work mail, tweak some code and time flies by.

At the end of the afternoon Britney walks toward your desk and she leans on it.

You don't want to be that guy in the office, you know, the one that gogles over the female co-workers all the time, but it is damn difficult to ignore these legs. Britney starts talking about the issue of yesterday evening and she crosses her legs. Somehow this is enough for you to have some turmoil in your own pants.

"So John, I've made sure that the filesystem will no longer fill up. Now, when it's pumped full of logs, and the drive seems to overflow, it will trigger some bash that will clean it all up".

"Ehm. Yes." You try to focus on her words. By the way is she trying to make everything sound sexy? Or is it just you?

"Anyway," Britney continues, "I worked all night so I'm going home now. If there's anything, don't hesitate to call me."

"Anything" the word echoes in your mind.

"Bye John! Have a nice evening!", she says.
"Bye. you too!" you yell after her, as she is walking away.

A little while later you need to go to the bathroom, and you bump into Mike.

"Hey," He says, "what I'm meaning to ask since yesterday..." "yeah?" "well, there is no easy way to say this, so I am just going to say it: Is everything ok between you and Lisa?"

Him asking this comes as a surprise. "Yeah sure. Why do you ask?"

"You said you are binging television shows and not even together. And now you say she is on a business trip."

"Come on, man, she really is on a business trip."

"Ok. I was just thinking, I mean I did bring you two together quite some time ago. Maybe you or Lisa got bored of each other and wanted to move along."

"What!" You reply a bit louder than intended to, "No man, everything is ok. She's just on a trip and we like different shows and we grew older."

Mike shrugs his shoulders. "I'm older," he smiles, "I still fuck every weekend."
{else}"Lisa still on the business trip?" He asks. "Yeah. She'll be back tomorrow." "Say hi from me." "Sure, I will"
