arriving on the world/ early years

vhel was found in front of an orphanage in ballad, witnesses said that he just appeared before the door. he was found with a letter saying "we couldn't take care of him. sorry." and a name tag with the word vhel on it. when the door of the orphanage was opened, and old woman with gray hair saw a baby, wrapped with blankets. she read the letter and took in the baby. unbeknown to her, the baby was awake and aware of what happened.

few days after this baby arrived, another one was found by the door. this time it was a girl. in the letter she had, it was written she was 1 years old and thaqt her name was Gaja.

weeks passed, and those babies, named vhel and Gaja, were weirder than each other baby she dealt with. both of them didn't cry nor slept. vhel just watched the ceiling, and Gaja just tried to be closer to vhel and cried when she was pulled away from him.

years passed, and both of them grew. Gaja had two horns coming out of her forehead, but they looked like some kind of mix between a minotaur horns and oni horns. her skin looked like the skin of most people who lived in ballad, her hair was black and she had amber eyes. vhel, meanwhile, looked like some kind of half elf, with pointed ears that were shorter than elves' ears, yet also had two horns stretching upwards from the sides of his head. his sin was gray, but not an unhealthy 'I need more sunlight' type of gray. his hair was as red as blood, his eyes were gray like steel, and his whole presence was ominous. this made everyone except Gaja, who followed him anywhere he went, afraid of him, so they didn't even get close to him. even though she was a little scared of him as well, the old woman could see on his face that he would be a true lady-killer in the future.

more years passed, and vhel was now 15 years old. even though his presence became even more ominous, he also became much more handsome, to the point it almost canceled his ominous aura. during those years there were some who wanted to adopt Gaja, yet she refused to go without vhel, and no one wanted to adopt him.

3 years later, when vhel was 18 years old, he and Gaja left the orphanage.
