after him
I stepped through the doorway, eased the heavy wooden door shut without a sound, and turned the key in the latch. The quiet, metallic click echoed behind my eyes like the final sealing of an airlock against the outside world.
The air inside the room was heavy, dense, and suffocatingly warm. It carried the thick scent of spent sweat, tangled cotton, the raw, musky musk of Timo, and that unmistakable, sweet almond trace of Loona. On the bedside table, a solitary small lamp cast a dim, amber glow across the disarray.
The duvet lay dragged halfway onto the floorboards. Loona was sprawled in the center of the rumpled sheets, her knees loosely bent and parted wide, her arms resting limp across the pillows. Her white tank top was torn or shoved roughly aside; the bare skin of her thighs glistened wet in the half-light. Between her legs, a pale, viscous slick—mingled with her own warmth—was seeping slowly onto the linen.
When her eyes found me, she barely moved her head. Yet a deep, smoldering warmth flared in her emerald gaze.
"Come here, John," she whispered, her voice rough, raspy, and spent.
I moved forward as though drawn by an invisible cord. My pulse thudded in my ears, and the trapped flesh beneath my sweatpants hammered with a force that nearly wiped out my remaining senses. At the edge of the mattress, I sank straight to my knees.
Loona lifted a hand slowly, threading her fingers through my hair to draw my head forward with feather-light care until my forehead rested against the curve of her bare thigh. Her skin was scalding.
"You were so good out there on the couch," she murmured, her cool fingers smoothing down the back of my neck in a slow, comforting stroke. A delicate, wry smile touched the corners of her lips, warm and entirely stripped of cruelty. "Did you really think I couldn't hear how deathly quiet you went in the other room? You didn't make a sound while he was putting on his little performance in here. Tell me honestly… how close did you come to losing your mind out there?"
The words struck straight into the center of my chest. A tidal wave of shame, relief, and fathomless gratitude broke inside me, tightening like a knot around my throat. My breathing came in ragged bursts. Hearing her frame my silence not as weakness, but as unyielding devotion—realizing she had registered me, held me in her mind even in the arms of another—scoured away the final remnants of doubt. I wasn't an afterthought. I was her anchor, her secret foundation.
"I… I thought about you every second," I managed in a trembling, gravelly whisper, keeping my chin pressed firmly against her heated skin. My entire frame shivered with bottled arousal. "I just wanted to do what we agreed on."
A quiet, low chuckle rose from her throat. Leaning slightly further over me, she drew her thumb softly across my lower lip, looking down with an expression that bordered on tenderness.
"My loyal little shadow," she whispered, shaking her head, half amused, half deeply touched. "Look at you. Suffering in absolute silence out there just to keep your word to me. That's exactly why you matter to me so damn much."
She propped herself up on her forearms, her gaze turning darker, more demanding, yet remaining steady and soft.
"Now take what belongs to you. He thinks he won something tonight. He's passed out like a stone next door, convinced he's the center of the universe. But he hasn't got the slightest idea who I actually belong to."
She parted her thighs an inch wider. The sharp, intoxicating musk of her body, heavily layered with Timo’s spent trace, struck me with dizzying intensity.
"Clean me, John," she whispered hoarsely. "Claim what he left behind. Don't leave a single drop of him on my skin."
A choked breath of relief broke in my throat. Sliding my hands beneath the curve of her hips, I drew her closer to the edge of the mattress and lowered my face between her thighs.
My tongue met the warm, slick mess. The sharp, alkaline salt of another man's finish coated my mouth, fusing instantly with Loona’s familiar, honeyed heat. It was the absolute surrender of every conventional shred of masculine pride—and at the exact same moment, the most intoxicating, elevated high I had ever experienced. In long, reverent strokes, I worked across her skin, drawing every trace away from her swollen folds, circling the rim of her labia until not a mark of Timo’s claim remained.
Loona arched her neck back against the pillows. A soft, guttural moan broke from her chest—unfeigned, unperformed, meant solely for me. Her fingers clenched tight in my hair, anchoring my face against her while my body trembled in rhythm with every movement at the bedside. Beneath my clothing, the stainless steel bit like a band of fire around trapped flesh; the silicone prevented injury, but every fraction of an inch of unyielding confinement registered with absolute clarity. I was denied release, entirely incapable of taking it—yet I felt more anchored, more completely owned, than I ever had in my life.
When her skin was licked pristine and dry, she gently loosened her grip on my hair, patting the top of my head twice.
"Swallow it down, John," she breathed.
I swallowed the heavy, viscous mixture without hesitation. A shiver ran from the crown of my head down to my toes.
"Good boy," she said softly, her tone smooth as crushed velvet. Reaching down, she caught my shoulders to guide me upward. "Now strip. Get into bed with me."
With unsteady hands, I pushed my sweatpants and boxers down, stepping out of the fabric. The dark alloy and the pale silicone ring caught the muted amber light of the bedside lamp. Loona shifted over, pulling the sheet back to open the space beside her.
I slid carefully beneath the covers. The linen carried the musky aftermath of the room, but the second I settled, Loona rolled toward me. She slipped an arm beneath my neck, hauling me flush against her bare chest, draping a leg across my thighs to pin me close.
Her hand glided down beneath the duvet, locating the cylinder, tracing the cold curves of the casing and the miniature padlock with a slow, reassuring stroke.
"No pain?" she whispered against my lips.
"No pain," I murmured, my eyes fluttering half-shut, completely submerged in her proximity and the solid heat of her body.
"Good." She pressed a long, soft kiss to my forehead. "Sleep now, John. Tomorrow belongs entirely to us. Nobody else gets through that door."
I buried my face in the crook of her neck, breathing in her scent, feeling the sharp, demanding throb in my pelvis gradually surrender to a heavy, exhausted stillness. Held, locked, and completely surrendered into her hands, I let the dark take me.
