a bit further on, Pippa comes onto a kind of enclosure. its a perfectly round pond, and in its middle grows a single flower. as she looks around it looks like there is no exit anymore, the whole thing is surrounded by trees with no room between the trunks
its obviously an illusion but for the moment Pippa has no way of telling where she'd leave. instead a faint giggle is audible from the flower
Pippa decides to worry later on the exit, knowing for now that illusion is in work, and to focus on the giggle from plant of sort, taking caution without geting too close.
on the flower sits a small naked pixie, looking at Pippa with curiosity in her eyes
"hum, hello"
she waves excitedly
"Hello yourself."
"I'm Pippa. Who are you ?"
she makes big eyes
"You're also not very bright, giving any kind of fae your name?
I'm the pixie of this place. This is my home."
"I was teached to be polite.
So, did you trapped me? Or is this just some dramatic misunderstanding?"
she snickers
"Oh, i'm not able to really trap you. All you'd have to do is figure out which trees aren't real and walk away. But i'd be happy to lift the spell if you sit down and tell me a story."
Pippa chooses to do both. She sit and while she looks at each tree, she started to tell the story of a raft-travelling gnome on a strange river, with big giant, murlocks, and a nasty hag...
"Oh. That is an interesting story. I feel a bit bad for the gnome. The river sounded nice but the hag was very bad. I sure hope the gnome doesn't meet other bad people on her way. Or has a way of getting away from them."
the small fae waves her hand and some of the trees disappear.
"If the gnome really wants to get home she should be on her way. But I'll tell you this: On the edge of the forest live some really nasty tribes. If they capture you its over. They keep females like livestock. And there's other things that will see you as prey just as much."
"thanks for the warning, but i'm still looking for an exit.
So i'll leave you and this beautiful home of yours.
Bye"
"Take Care, Gnome Pippa! And maybe think about lying about your name. It could save you under some circumstances!"
