a new piece of Regis

After taking some time to reload her supplies, Pippa resume her journey.

pippa feels regis excitement

Something is moving closeby. and they have a piece of the armor with them!

Pippa asks Regis for direction and follows

he brings her towards a group of boulders, between which pippa can make out vaguely humanoid shapes. it seems its a group of people that are talking in a language people has heard before but doesn't understand. by the sounds of it not more than three

Pippa tries to locate the individual having the armor piece

it seems to be elven women, all clad in leather and blackened metal, nothing of what they wear looks remotely like Regis' polished silver sheen. they do have a burlap sack with them however that from its form might hold some loot in it

them being females give Pippa some confidence. She walks slowly toward them with hands up.

"Hello"

they look over to Pippa, and one raises her hand in greeting

"Greetings"

Pippa hear regis mutter to himself and her "scavengers. my worst enemy". he sounds displeased

"i'm looking for clues on theses lands. And also are you open for barter? Do you have items to trade?"

"We have a few items for trade."

one of them gets a few items out of the sack, showing pippa a shield, some swords and a chainmail, all of them show signs of battle

nothing looks like regis armor, but pippa is sure the sack isn't empty yet

"is that all you have?"

they look at each other

"Well... the other stuff we have is dangerous. It needs to be disenchanted by our leader first."

"well, i might be more interested in those."

Pippa asks silently to Regis "can they really disenchent the parts?"

they look at each other

"I don't think we can do that. We have very strict orders to bring magic items back to our leader. Do you even have somehing to trade?"

"i have some food, some tools... i have some magic wand... And we can still negociate further..."

"We could take the wand.... other than that, tools or food is not really of use to us. We're not going to trade our magical items though."

Pippa is dissapointed but decides to try a little coertion

"I did ask politely, i think you wouldn't like to pass on that opportunity to barter with me. I try to do things in civilized manners, first; elsewise....

... I'll ask again : don't you want to barter, please..."

the women without a word put their wares back into the container

"We don't think we want to trade with you anyway. We'll take our leave now. Goodbye."

Pippa says nothing but try to follow that group stealthly. Maybe she could get to their camp and ask again to their shaman.

pippa follows the group a while. at some point they stop for a few minutes, looking in the sack and pulling a few things out they pass to each other before they suddenly split up, each of the three women in a different direction

Pippa asks Regis, the direction he feel the armor part, and follow the woman that likely have it

he can pinpoint, which of the women has it and pippa followes her through the forest, past creeks and boulders, through bushes and clearings.

against all odds, when her victim is catching her breath next to a small creek, pippa manages to get close enough and grab the metal piece that regis identifies as part of him. it looks like a simple plate of metal, but it feels right

Pippa doesn't want to be that a bad person, so she gives the woman the wand she had offered to barter, puting it in the place of the armor.

pippa manages to sneak away from the woman and hide, until she is gone

"So Regis, what is this new piece?"

"It is the second leg piece. it has hidden its true form, but as soon as it connects with me, it'll become whole again."

"great"

Regis then explained the functionality of the new piece

Pippa is happy, now she can walk without an imbalance from wearing different shoes.

She doesn't know if she will charge toward ennemies, but it's good to have option.

She wanders again in the forest

traveling further, pippa comes across tracks that lead to a den, presumably of goblins. a few of the creatures are loitering nearby

"nasty creatures. Better not to talk to them"

Pippa tries to avoid the den, hoping she won't be noticed

the group is bored, muttering to themselves, lamenting the fact they only have one breeding **** to share with the whole clan and having to wait their turn. they are unaware of pippa's existence and she can sneak away savely

as the den seems not worthy, Pippa goes further in her quest for clues

pippa is looking around when she hears voices nearby, that sound vaguely familiar....

Pippa dashes into bushes to hide and to tries to identify the voices

pippa is pretty sure its someone she met recently... but other than that she can't put her finger on it

Pippa waits until she could see more

pippa can see the three women she just stole from earlier today. they seem to argue about something

Pippa tries to sneak away, as she doesn't really want to be noticed

with the former excellence in stealth, pippa gets away from the group without further hassle

"Regis, do you feel if that piece could have been ...marked, as if they could have track it's position?"

"impossible. they didn't even recognize it i am sure!"

"or do you think it's just bad luck that they found us? anyway, let's go further away from them"

"i sure hope their so called leader is not in possession of other pieces."

Pippa plans to build a crude shelter as she learned.

pippa crafts a simple and crude shelter. its not much but its enough for the night

Pippa sleeps ligthly during the night as they are still threats in these lands
