Which adventurer do you follow

Zorack the Half-orc Barbarian

Zorack stood over the remaining kobold as it took its last breaths. As the half-orc watched the light leave its eyes, he heard Kora call out.

"Was it necessary to kill all of them?"

“It was us or them,” the half-orc replied. “The creatures may have been dumb, but they certainly weren’t cowards.”

“He’s right, they made their intent to fight to the **** very clear,” added Bronsin as he wiped blood from his sword.

Then Goddard chipped in, the half-ling’s voice carrying its usual nonchalant air “Besides, it feels like they had it coming. They’re the ones that decided to attack travelers on the road.”

Kora didn’t look convinced. As she surveyed the dozen or so bodies of the small dragon-like creatures scattered around the field, the tiefling’s normally cheerful eyes looked sad and misty.

Zorack began to think maybe he should say something before Anlin stepped up and put her arm around Kora’s shoulders.

“It’s alright dear. I know this was hard, but it’s over now.” The elf’s soft, sing song voice seemed to put Kora at ease.

An awkward silence set in before Bronsin spoke up, “Lets head back and collect the bounty.”

After taking a few moments to repack their mounts, they were off. Goddard, the rogue, rode ahead to make sure the way was clear. The rest of the party formed a line down the path back to the village of Cramberg. True to his nature, Bronsin the paladin took point. Kora the sorcerer and Anlin the wizard rode side by side. And Zorack the barbarian headed up the rear.

The trip passed without incident and soon they found themselves back at the roadhouse outside of town. After tying up their horses and putting some of their gear up in their rented rooms, they went back outside and found Goddard was there waiting for them with a sealed letter in his hand. He held out the letter to Bronsin who took it and, after looking it over, addressed the others.

“The mayor will meet with us tomorrow to get an update on our mission.”

“Well, that frees us up,” said Goddard. "I say we hit up the tavern. What do you say?”

“I need to head to the blacksmith to make some minor repairs to my weapons,” said Bronsin flatly.

“Anlin and I have been given free reign of the alchemist workshop here in the village.” Said Kora, “We’re going to conduct a few experiments.” She then looked up at Zorack and grinned. “We could use an extra hand if you don’t have any plans.”

Before he could answer, Goddard elbowed the half-work in the side and said “Oh come on, can’t you see the man is thirsty.”

“You know, that axe of yours could use some work,” Bronsin added.

Zorack looked back and forth between the members of his party, trying to decide what to do.
