Chapter 10 by Yabusa Yabusa

Where do you and Zoe share your time downtown?

Zoe does some mischief at a sports bar

You felt more confident than you had in a long time as you entered Fifth Down, a sports bar that was typically filled with some incredible looking people all hollering at TV screens. You liked it for the menu, but you thought this time, maybe you could see what it would be like to get a little attention. Not a lot, just a bit... after all, you were here with Zoe, she was who you really wanted to spend time with.

"I think this will be fun!" you heard Zoe say in your ear.

"Yeah, it might be. You know, a couple of drinks to unwind and then heading out to look at the ocean feels like a good way to spend the day with you."

"I love it," Zoe cheerfully replied. You weren't sure you could do much of anything that Zoe would protest about. She seemed eager to follow your lead, despite every bit of logic insisting she's the one that should be leading you everywhere. She's the brilliant scientist who can look like anyone, surely she's seen more of this town than you have? But, her whole life is about being worn, so maybe it was really just how she was. Or how she wanted it to be.

You ordered a Long Island, leaning on a standing table as you waited for your drink, your chest barely brushing the top of the table. That was new... there were all these little discrepancies in height and size that meant you couldn't just lean on things with your normal posture without feeling something different or out of place. Still, you watched some grown men kick around a ball for a little while before your drink came, and you took a sip.

"Delicious!" You both exclaim, to your surprise. When the server departs, you blink a little, looking back at the drink. "So, you taste it all? How, uh... how does this part work, exactly? The whole eating food via a bodysuit thing?"

Zoe couldn't stop giggling at the question for a bit, so you sipped at the Long Island until she was ready to speak again. "Yes, I can taste foods. I know I'm hollow, but I'm not helpless! I just don't digest foods. That's where you come in... you're able to break down the food, and then that gives us both nutrients we need to live. I promise you won't even know it's happening, you're just going to be a little hungrier than normal at mealtime."

You nodded. You weren't sure you wanted a full biology lesson, but you just needed to confirm one thing.

"...Do I need to take you off to use the bathroom?" Another round of giggles, from Zoe, and you again sipped at your iced tea, rolling your eyes.

"No, nothing like that," Zoe finally replied. "Don't think on it too much, but we're connected at a pretty fundamental level. We have to be, since it's your internal organs that allow me to survive, so I'm designed to be as little of an inconvenience as possible. I'm essentially like an extension of you right now."

Your chatter was disrupted as a handsome man strolled up to your table, in a plaid shirt and action hero hair. The man smiled, holding his beer up toward you. "Haven't seen you around here before. New in town?"

Your lips turned upward into a little bit of a smile. You weren't sure you wanted to practice flirting since your purpose was to spend time with Zoe, but she was quick to egg you on. "He's sure cute! You think he'd be fun to get to know?" You tilted your head a little, enough to sort of indicate to Zoe you didn't quite understand, without it being too obvious to the man near you. "Emily, we're one body right now, and the idea of you spending time with other people while we're both connected doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you. If we do things together, I'm more than happy for it."

You took in all this info, while the man waited patiently, although slightly confused by the looks of it why you were taking so long to respond. "Uh... yeah. I mean, no. I've been here a few times, but this town hasn't seen much of me." You leaned forward on the table with a smile, ensuring your cleavage was on prominent display.

"Well, this town is missing out," the man said with a smile. "I think a girl as lovely as you could use a--whoa."

Whoa? What whoa? You suddenly look down, and yelped a little in surprise. Your breasts were almost bursting out of your shirt! They'd grown considerably since you had begun talking to the man, and when you stood up to get a better look at them, you could feel them straining against a bra barely up to the challenge of remaining attached to you. Your shirt was not going to survive the amount of stretching the fabric had undergone in the process.

"...I didn't say I wasn't going to participate, though!" Zoe chimed in.

Use Zoe's new gifts to your advantage, or do you need to set some more ground rules?
