Background:

Zazela was created as a celestial being to serve as a caretaker in the realms. In a martial society she was near the bottom as a woman that had no interest or natural ability to prepare for some unknown enemy that would come one day to destroy all that had been created.

When the creator made Adamah and Lilith, ordering the Celestials to build and care for them a home in the mortal realm. Zazela of course was one of those chosen for the role and as she was told, she could finally be useful. This was her home when the schism rocked the Celestial realm, and no one bothered to demand she pledge loyalty to their side of her.

After the split and half the Celestial realms became Infernal, she did her best to shield the mortals from this. She was present when Queen Lilith delivered each of her daughters, and taught the young woman the words of the creator, and to praise the creator.

When Adamah noticed the beautiful young women his daughters were growing into, and sought the Celestials for permission to take them as wives. Of course most of the Celestials readily agreed that it should be allowed as he was the king of humanity. Zazela objected but was quickly overruled and ignored by the other Celestial host.

Fearing what would happen, Zazela visited Lilith and her daughters that had gathered around her. That is when she told the queen of Adamah’s plan, and urged her to hide her daughters from their father till the Celestials came to their senses. Lilith recognized the threat and urged her daughters to gather their things as they would be leaving the grounds, and the land of their father.

Hawwah though sought out her father, unable to leave without first saying goodbye. Adamah seized her, and pressured her that if she wished his affection, she would stay with him and betray her sisters.

As Lilith, Naamah, Eisheth Zenunim and Aghat Mahlat, gathered and awaited Hawwah to join them, Adamah showed up instead with two Celestials, announcing he would imprison them and still take them all as wives. That is when Zazela intervened, allowing Lilith to escape with her daughters except for Hawwah. However Zazela was arrested by the Celestials and dragged in chains back to their realms.

It was there that the Celestials condemned Lilith, Naamah, Eisheth Zenunim and Aghat Mahlat of their humanity and branding them demons. At first Zazela was to be sentenced to ****, but Adamah asked to be given her instead as she owed him for taking away his wives. She was put in chains and a collar that sealed her abilities, and **** her to obey the human, and given to him.

She was kept in a dungeon of Gardens of Nod, only to be visited by Adamah when he sought to use her. She was **** to carry his first son in secret from Hawwah, Alpha. Adamah kept the boy a secret, until they were exiled from the gardens from reading of a forbidden scroll.

When the castle is razed, Zazela manages to escape, although she is unable to bring her son with her. Zazela wanders in the wildness, lost and mostly powerless as she was still in chains. That is when Lilith finds her, and frees her from the chains. Lilith also convinces the fallen Celestial she should move to the Infernal Realms with her. Considering her past, Lilith suggests Gehenna might be the best fit for Zazela. Belphegor the king of the Abyss, readily welcomed her, recognizing her abilities and offered her the opportunity to oversee the education of the young, and guide them.

This role seemed one that Zazela seemed to be created for, and she delved into it wholeheartedly. Over time and after sitting up several nurseries across Gehenna and the Abyss, taking on a role as the headmistress of the Royal Nursery.

She personally approved all tutors for the royal nursery, selecting only the best for the royal children.

Then a day came nearly twenty five hundred years ago, when the unthinkable happened and the royal nursery was attacked by the demon, Resheph. During the attack she arrived too late to save several of her young charges, but just as he had trapped the remaining children in a room, she managed to arrive. Confronting Resheph, she used all the power she had to allow the children to escape, though it was not enough and she eventually fell, her soul consumed by the fallen one.

Personality:

Zazela is a compassionate and fiercely protective soul, driven by an unyielding sense of duty and morality. Despite her tragic past and the betrayals she endured, she maintains a deep empathy for the **** and a devotion to nurturing and safeguarding the innocent. Her wisdom and intelligence are tempered by humility, and her reserved demeanor masks an unshakable resolve. Once a Celestial caretaker, her experiences have instilled in her a keen awareness of injustice and an unwavering commitment to shielding others from harm, even at great personal cost. While Zazela’s loyalty and dedication earned her the respect of those she served in the Infernal Realms, her lingering sorrow for the loss of her charges and the wounds of her past remain ever-present in her heart.
