Zack was already up

Meanwhile there was someone else who'd overheard the girls conversation...

Zachary had never been a late sleeper, and he'd also one of the first of the group to finally fall asleep that night. He'd never been the kind of guy to eavesdrop on his friends either, but it just so happened that he'd returned to the cabin after a quick walk when he heard Ashley and Victoria's voices around the corner.

At first he was about to leave again, as he could hear in their voices that they were talking about something private and sensitive. But then he'd stopped and listened instead, with his blood running cold at the mention of Kurt and what he'd done to Ashley. Again the thought of him alone with Vicky made his heart nearly stop, and especially as she implied that she just might have enjoyed his advances.

The whole conversation was causing him so much grief that he almost wished he'd never heard it at all, with the part about Gavin being the only thing to lighten his heart, and he'd almost missed out on the bit where Vicky confessed she hadn't let Kurt in on her yet. That was quite a relief at least, though he still couldn't believe she'd even considered it.

When the girls finally broke up he didn't quite see where Ashley went off to, but quickly had to hide before Victoria found him standing around the corner. If he'd ever hope to win her heart he'd better not be caught overhearing a conversation like that, or he would be stamped an even worse kind of guy than Kurt!

But then again, wasn't that what Victoria had always been falling for...?

The more he thought about it, the more certain he became that it was one of the reasons his secret crush had never even noticed his feelings for her. Did she really only take notice of a guy if he was acting like a complete ass around her...?

That was a lot to think about though, and he simply scoffed at first at the idea of himself trying to act like Kurt to win Victoria over.

But then he followed her cautiously inside, and could see her starting to make herself breakfast in the kitchen. Her tight butt looked so inviting from his position by the doorway, that he could easily see why Kurt had been trying so much to grab her.

But would a method like that actually work on her, or just make him lose every chance of ever being friends with her again...?
