Zack on the way back

Meanwhile, Zachary was on his way back to Ravers’ Cabin when he decided to stop by the lake for a few moments to think. As he stared into the crystal-like waters of Silver Lake, he found himself wondering how ended up in his current predicament.

When they departed for the cabin, he was just a normal, geeky guy with a crush on a beautiful girl, and now the most popular girl in the school had wormed herself into the picture and his original crush hated him because of some convoluted plan conceived by a pervert older guy.

As much as he wracked his brain thinking about a way to make Shawn tell Victoria the truth, Zack came up with nothing. ”Dammit!” He sighed. ”There’s really nothing I can do?”

His thoughts then shifted from the green-eyed blonde to the blue-eyed brunette, pretty and mischievous Heather. Everyone seemed to be telling him to go for the cheerleader captain, but Zack wasn’t so sure. He wondered how much of Heather’s behavior from the past few days would translate to everyday life. ”It’s pretty easy to be with her on an environment like this, but can I handle a relationship where almost every guy will be trying to break us up?” He asked himself. ”But more importantly, can I handle her flirting nature without flipping off?”

Heather needed someone who could keep up with her, and as much as Zack showed glimpses of his adventurous side over the past few days, he wasn’t sure he could be that guy. ”And besides,” His thoughts turned to his blonde crush once more. ”I like Vicky too much to give up on her.”

He kicked a pebble into the water and sighed. “Maybe Taylor is right,” Zack whispered, staring at the lake. “Maybe I should just forget about crushes for now and just have some fun until we get back.”

“Zachary!” Hannah chirped as she approached her best friend’s little brother on her way back to the rented cabin. “You’ve slept there?”

“Yeah,” A startled Zack scratched the back of his neck, still a little overwhelmed every time he talked to the older blonde. “My sister wanted to keep an eye on me.”

“Classic Taylor,” Hannah chuckled before she briefly squeezed his shoulder. “Don’t worry, everything’s gonna be fine.”

Zack raised an eyebrow. “I take you know all about what happened, then?”

Hannah nodded with a faint smile. “Oh yeah, Taylor sent me a text. Caused quite a stir back at your cabin actually,” She told him. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many ruffled feathers in one place before.”

At Zack’s look of confusion, the blue-eyed blonde elaborated. “Victoria started badmouthing you, then Heather came to your defense, and suffice to say, she totally shut Vicky up.”

“Wow,” Zack whispered, a little taken aback. “Heather really done that?”

“Oh yeah, buddy, never thought I’d see little Heather that way just to defend someone,” Hannah answered in a suggestive manner.

Zack couldn’t help but chuckle at that. ”One more,” He thought. “Thanks, Hannah.”

“No problem,” She smiled warmly at him. “You’re the brother of my best friend, after all those years knowing you, I’ve became quite protective of you as well and I want you to be happy, okay?”

Zack nodded. “Likewise.” He said while returning her smile.

“Alright, we should go now,” Hannah said, making a shooing motion with her hands. “I have a shower to take and you, sir, have a hot brunette cheerleader to drive back to town,” She walked a couple of steps before turning around. “Did I mentioned she has big tits?”

Zack laughed. “See you later, Hannah.” He waved to the older blonde as she turned back around and began walking towards her cabin. After he watched her toned ass swaying for a while, Zack turned towards Ravers’ Cabin.

”Wait a sec, what did she meant by ‘drive back to town’?” Zachary asked himself as he began to move towards the cabin.

He walked up the steps to the deck and entered through the back door shortly after. Just as he crossed the threshold, Heather was coming from the hallway to the right. When their blue eyes caught each other, Zack felt his pants tightening at the sight of his sexy busty friend, as it was becoming a common occurrence.

He wondered if it was wrong to feel that way about Heather while Victoria was feeling so bad at the same time because of him. ”But gods, I can’t help it!”

Heather smirked. “Zachary Bishop!” She sauntered over to him, wearing a black tank top and jean shorts. “Just the man I wanted to see.”

“Yeah?” He grinned at her, recalling Hannah’s earlier sentence. “Why is that?”

“You see, we’re missing a few supplies for the BBQ and I was in need of a nice, strong man who could drive me back to town to get it,” She answered him. “So, think you’re up to the task?”

Zack chuckled. “I most certainly am,” He replied while thinking that maybe getting away for a while in Heather’s company was just what he needed to relax from everything and follow his sister’s advice. “Can I take a quick shower first?”

“Sure, I need to change first as well,” Heather nodded. “Meet you back here in, let’s say, twenty minutes?”

“Deal.” Zack agreed.

The two of them waved to each other and then went to their respective bedrooms. Zack was amused to see Kurt was still sleeping like a log at their room as he got his towel and a change of clothes. Stepping back onto the hallway, he crossed the main section of the cabin on his way to the bathroom and was mildly surprised as Brandon got out of it just as he was about to open the door.

“Hey, Zack.” His athlete friend greeted him.

“Hey, man,” Zack replied. “Better now?”

Brandon half-smiled. “Told you I was ok before,” He said. “But yeah, I’m better.”

“That’s great, don’t let it get you down, you hear me?” Zack advised. “Listen, I’ve got to take a shower now, I’ll drive Heather back to town in about twenty minutes, so…”

“Sure, sure,” The football player waved him off to the bathroom. “Go ahead.”

Brandon then observed as his friend entered the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He turned around and walked the short way to his bedroom, the room that he occupied by himself now, after the break up with Ashley. However, as he opened the door, the dark brown-haired young man noticed the room wasn’t empty as he thought it would be.
