Zack and Chloe, talking outside

"What's it about, Zack...?" Asked Chloe as he followed her out the front door, and noticed how he looked around before turning back to herself again. It was his own idea to go outside for a chat, but it seemed like he'd realized only now that she still wasn't wearing any more than her bra on the upper half of her body. Thus he was clearly both worried that some outsider would spy on them, and a bit uncomfortable himself about seeing her half-naked like this.

"Well..." He started a bit nervously, while they walked slowly together around the building. It had stopped raining for the time being - meaning they wouldn't get wet right away at least -, though it seemed like he'd wanted to go even further away if it wasn't for her lack of clothes. "I just wanted to ask you something... about tonight...?"

"Yeah, sure." She agreed, while taking on a most indifferent look on her face, and an equally bored tone to her voice. Considering how he'd practically been ignoring her this entire morning, she found it was well justified for her to pretend like nothing ever happened as well. And besides, it seemed to work well for Vicky at least, as a way to keep his interest up for her. "What about it?"

"Well..." Again he got uncertain of what to say to her, and it was clear she'd managed to daze him a bit with the way she replied to him. In fact, she may never have acted quite so cold to him in their entire lives, and she felt like she may have played it a bit harsh on him as she noticed the pained look on his face while he tried to find the right words. "Did you... really mean what you said back then...?"

"Yes, of course!" The redhead smiled a little, and made her voice a little softer, but still avoided to show any actual emotions. If he wanted it to be something else, then he'd better explain it to her well. Which was the reason she got seriously annoyed with him, as it seemed like her answer made him suddenly relax a bit, rather than causing the reaction she'd hoped for. "Why?"

"I'm just... wondering..." Zack both surprised and aggravated her further with the lightness to his voice, but then made at least part of her heart start melting again as he continued. "I guess... I just wanted to know that we're still best friends...?"

"So you can keep pursuing Victoria...?" She asked him, again a lot colder than she'd actually wanted to, and could feel her face blushing as she realized she'd just given away some feelings for him after all.

"I doubt I'll even have a chance on that!" He surprised her again as he chuckled sarcastically at what she'd said, and it seemed like he was about to say something else when they were suddenly interrupted by another noise nearby. It caused them both to momentarily forget what they were talking about, and they continued in silence around the next corner of the house, where the sound had seemed to originate from.

"I can't see anyone...?" Said Chloe as she glanced around and up towards the double doors to the kitchen, before following Zack around the stairs, towards a rather unremarkable green door that seemed to lead underneath the wooden deck. It was currently open, and she found herself lowering her voice as they could hear someone from inside. "What's this place anyways...?"

"It's where Heather found the whiskey." Zack explained to her briefly, in the same hushed tone as he too didn't want to disturb whoever was down there. "They also got a grill and a boat, and some other stuff down there..."

"A boat...?" She wondered excitedly, while trying to figure how something like that would be able and fit through the doorway. She didn't have much time for further questions though, and they both stopped dead in their tracks as they peeked through the door into the cellar beyond...
