Your model friend brings it home from an art show

Your friend has done some modeling gigs and online voice parts, and she was just in a live show at a local museum. She said it was some kind of living statue exhibit, like those guys who paint themselves silver and stand on the street in tourist areas. When she gets back from the show, she pulls a remote out of her purse. "The artist loved my performance as a statue so much he wanted me to have one of the remotes! This is only the second one he ever made."

She points the remote at you and suddenly you can't move. She quickly taps it again and everything seems normal. "Did you feel it? This remote turns people into statues, and you don't get tired or anything!" You tell her it's probably some kind of placebo effect and go back into your room. A few minutes later, she knocks on the door. As soon as you open it, she clicks the remote in your face and you freeze. "I really love this thing!" she says as she pushes the door open further.
