"So, Darien" Karisi begins "The qualification rounds for the Games of Nillix start soon. I was lucky enough to be given a spot in the tournament but unfortunately Sir Brex is getting too old and injured that he isn't able to compete this year." Her eyes, glued to yours "That's where...you come in."

"Games of Nillix...?" You question

"An Arena battle? Only the biggest tournament around? Qualification rounds start next week. The actual games start in a few weeks." Karisi tells you, she has some shock in her voice "How do you not know of the Games of Nillix? It's the one tournament where all the kings and queens of the world share a truce to see who has the strongest soldier of them all."

"Uhhh, I've Uhhh" you stutter "I've been in the slums fighting for a loooong time. I don't get out much."

Karisi tilts her head, she can't help but think you're lying but questions anyway "Doubtful...either way, will you accept?"

"Is this a battle to the ****?"

"It can be, unless you surrender before." Karisi replies "Most do fight to the **** though. With ****, comes honor."

"I generally don't like to kill..."

"Then beat them to hell like you did that last piece of shit in the slums..." Karisi interrupts, with a stern voice. "Oh, and there is one more thing."

"Yeah?" you ask

"I will be your sparring partner." she replies

Her eyes fall to the ground...she slowly pushes her chair back. She notions toward a guard who throws two short wooden training swords, one to Karisi and one to you. She immediately picks up the sword, grabs a plate on the table, throws it at your head and starts to charge you.
