Your Friends

Every time you turn a corner or go through a door you expect to run into something terrible but your luck seems to hold up, even though the noises you can hear suggest the situation in the house is getting worse. Then it finally runs out as you tound one last corner and two figures come into view. You think about trying to turn back but they turn towards you and then your panic turns to relief as you see the mercifully still human faces of your friends.

"Morgan, thank god! We were worried we'd never find you!"

"I found the source..." You huff and puff as you try to share what you learned. You always knew your awful cardio would come back to haunt you, you just wish it had happened when you were in less danger.

"It's in a hidden room...in the basement." Allegra and Jenny both look troubled as you share your findings.

"While we were looking for you we found an entrance to the basement but there's a problem..."
