You: night at the stand-up

You finally manage to get out, “I’ll text you. Is Friday night okay?”

It was settled. You spend all evening wondering what to do, making a long list of ideas and then scratching them off one by one. It's difficult to find something you haven't already done platonically with her. Finally, you settle on one that you think will surprise her, and be a good match for her fun-loving personality.

“I like it, Michael," laughs Amy when you meet up outside the local theatre. That night a famous comedian, who you know to be a favourite of Amy, is on tour visiting your town for one night only.

"Milady," you say jokingly, as you offer your hand in a gentlemanly way. You've put in more effort than usual to your outfit, so you're sporting a casual two-piece that's still fairly smart which you think suits you nicely. Amy gracefully places her slender hand into yours with a dazzling smile. She's dressed at a similar level; a beautiful green blouse which highlights her eyes and exposes only a tantalising sliver of cleavage, whilst showing off the curve of her fit body. Her porcelain legs are bared from ankle to mid-thigh, and quickly catch your eye, covered only by a simple black skirt.

Before the evening starts, you take her to have dinner at the local fancy restaurant. You laugh and talk as you tuck into your meals, and soon have reached a comfortable rhythm, though with a little flirtation thrown in from both parties. During the meal, Amy's eyes are riveted on yours, and you could swear sometimes she looked like she was approaching rapture in your presence. The start time for the theatre arrives all to soon, however, and you head back to the theatre. Amy happily lets you link arms and lead her through the plush lobby, down to seats right in the centre of the second row.

"This is amazing! How did you get those tickets?" exclaims Amy in disbelief.

"I do have a few friends, you know," you reply teasingly.

"Very well placed ones," she grins back, rubbing her shoulder against you affectionately. "My _favourite _kind."

The stand-up starts before too long, and you both have a fantastic time, worked up to the point where you're cracking up at even the most inane joke, and particularly the ones about sex. In the interlude, you whip out your secret weapon: a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine.

"You didn't," says Amy reprovingly, as she looks hungrily at the luxurious goods.

"Oh yes I did," you chuckle.

"You know I can't resist," she pretends to protest.

"I'm counting on it." Your eyes meet she glances down at your crotch and back up. Suddenly you wonder if the two of you meant something more by that exchange.

The second half is equally enjoyable, not least because you have a beautiful girl next to you, who for the first time is with you in a romantic light. Every time she laughs her already-beautiful face becomes truly heavenly, and as your eyes seem to find each other after every joke, you feel like you are truly having fun together that evening.

By the end of the night, you feel that new, adult dynamic to your relationship stronger than ever before. In the taxi on the way home, you're at first uncertain of what to do, but as you talk and laugh, recounting the night, you naturally move closer until you're all but cuddling with Amy. As her home grows nearer, you feel a growing **** to let her out of your sight, but you console yourself with hopes of a second date. As a result, you are rather caught off guard when she slyly asks,

“So, Michael… wanna come in and join me?”
