You take the plunge

The good part about jumping into the lagoon is it's a hot day, and you're dressed for it, or undressed for it, whichever way you prefer to look at it. The bad part about jumping into the lagoon is it's still a rather lengthy drop. You look down one more time, then look back. As you do, an arrow whizzes by your head. It's now or never, and you know it.

You take a flying leap, and down you go! You've always heard your life passes before your eyes in times like these. Whoever said it wasn't kidding. Everything seems to move in slow motion as you continue your downward plummet into the cool, blue waters below. Memories like your sixth birthday flash before you. You recall your first sexual experience, and how self centered the guy was who took your cherry. You relive your first day at the Ninja Academy, and your very first lesbian experience with a girl named Una.

The sudden splash shakes you from your reverie as you hit the water. Once under the water, you finally get your bearings and head for the surface. Lucky for you, the lagoon was much deeper than it seemed. You break the lighted surface, feeling much like Aphrodite must have when Zeus called her from the depths of the Earth. You certainly do look the part in all your naked splendor as water cascades from your beautiful body. You look up at the cliffs and see the armed brigade that was chasing you. All they can do now is stand there with their hands on their hips, looking on in disbelief. You give them a smile, and a nice farewell gesture before swimming away into the swifter current.

You take your time now, since you don't have to hurry. No one's brave enough to strip and dive in after you, so you've got the whole lagoon all to yourself. As you lazily swim along, you notice a cave entrance in the cliff wall along the farthest shore. There could be weapons and clothing inside, if you're lucky. Maybe even some food. Or it could be the home of thieves or pirates, or worse. Whoever, if anyone or anything, might not be home, and you might just hit the jackpot, and be on your way before they even return.

The current starts to get a little faster, and you know you have to make another decision. Do you continue and let the current take you to wherever, or do you investigate the cave?
