You step away from Loretta.

"Loretta, step away from him!" the old farmer growls.

"Daddy?!" Loretta pleads with tears running down her eyes. "Please don't shoot him!"

You step backwards away from Loretta and hope that the farmer won't do anything erratic. You let out a sigh of relief when he lowers his double-barrel shotgun and the cop quickly runs up takes it out of his hands. Loretta's father offers no resistance when the cop put handcuffs on him.

"I just wanted to protect my daughter," the old farmer mumbles to the cop as he's lead to the cruiser just as another cop pulls up. "I didn't mean to shoot the boy."

The police finds Jed's body in the barn with a gaping hole in his head and his pants around his ankles. The cops take statements from you and Loretta while they wait for the ambulance to arrive to take away the body.

"What will happen to my Daddy?" Loretta asks one of the police officers.

"We'll take him to the station for tonight. The district attorney will decide in the morning if he'll be charged."

Loretta starts to cry and you take her into your arms to comfort her. You notice the old farmer in the back of the police car getting upset at the sight of you with his daughter.

"Are you going to be okay tonight, miss?" the cop asks.

"Yes," Loretta sobs. She looks up at you and gives you a heart melting smile. "I'll be fine tonight."

As the ambulance and police cars pull away you see Loretta's father bow down his head as if he has finally accepted the fate of his daughter.

"Daddy saved me tonight," the blonde farm girl whispers, looking down to avoid eye contact. "Jed was going to **** himself on me when I told him no..."

You had felt sorry about Jed but not any more now that you know he was going to **** Loretta. You had just wanted to get into her panties before you leave this small town but now you think you have feelings for her. You hug her and let her cry on your shoulders.

"I don't want to be alone tonight," Loretta says before she kisses you passionately.
