You calm her down

"Let's calm down here. Maybe the judge will understand and your dad will get a month tops," you say. Loretta wouldn't stop crying. "I don't want to lose my Daddy! Can't you call a lawyer or something? Please John! Please!" she begs.

After getting the phone, you dial a friend. Jack is a old friend who went to law school while you studied business. As soon as he heard the news, he says he will take the case immediately. You smile at Loretta as you talk and go over details.

"What happened?" the young woman asks with bated breath.

"I got a lawyer who will argue self defense for your dad. Apparently, he knows him too. Or his dad does," you state.

"YES!" she screams. Then she tells you that her dad was friends with Ted Biggs and how they go way back.

Your eyes shoot out of your head as you put two and two together! Your best friend's father owns the controlling share of your job! Your best friend will be defending his dad's best friend in court!
