You simply nod

You feel that you should be terrified, yet you are not. Instead all you feel is calm as you notice black mist swarming around you. You look up at the being, and simply nod.

All at once you feel your body wracked with pain, your muscles and bones shifting, your blood boiling, your very soul shuddering as power flowed directly into your being. The black mist sunk into your flesh, tearing at your nerve ending as you felt everything about you shift. Through all of this you still stayed calm, unable to bring yourself to care. It was obvious that this being was keeping you calm, a merciful effect of his power entering you.

At the end, all that was left was the skull, which clattered to the ground, shattering on contact. And that was when the mental shift happened. You felt information filling your head about the world, thoughts jumbled and mashed together as everything came at once. This was not kept in check magically, as you sank to your knees screaming from your mind breaking and reforming over and over to make room for everything.

At the end of it all the pain simply stopped, you standing slowly, sifting through the information for what happened, where you were, and what else you needed to know.
