A continent dilluted

You search your mind, and realize that you know much.

What happened to you was a magical hiccup, a warping of space and time that can cast people from one reality to another.

This new reality was called Vaerna, and the continent you are on is the continent of Valdaara. It is, was, home to great nations of elves, of which you now know a great deal about. They are a very beautiful race that are of great magical power, which rival the power you now wield, though that was long ago, there's no telling what has happened or changed until you leave the cavern and see.

This thought is tossed aside as you 'remember' that you have power over all magic types, though in small quantities. Your main ability is in divination, mind control, hypnosis, and plant magic. The previous wielder had more but only so much could be transferred.

With a wave of your hand, the moss grew upwards and shaped into a bowl, sap oozing out to fill it. At its center a single leaf grew and detached, floating about. You peered into the liquid, willing it to show you the outside world. Over the course of an hour you learned that the elves, though still dominant on valdaara, had become weaker over time, the great magic diluting and spreading more evenly among its people. Though the average elf could rival your weak magic types in ability, the strongest only equaled a third of your overall power. The countries were divided into 3 main factions. The high elves, who only cared for power, the wood elves, who saw freedom above all else, and the tiny tribes of the ice elves, who seemed to be descendants of the greatly feared frost elves, a terrible nation that were once by far the most powerful on the planet.

With a sigh you dismissed the scrying pool, it withering down into a lump before turning green and vibrant once more as the sap returned the nutrients to it. You turned away, walking to a flat spot and summoning a faerie circle of mushrooms, a very ancient plant magic that only people with your level of power with plant magic could perform. You now has a single question left to answer.
