You sense something big nearby

The rest does not take long. In your slumber, you notice something big is coming your way. You look around, and there are not many places to hide, in case that big thing is dangerous. You shoot into something nearby, namely the material that was half-covering the thing you ate before. There are still some leftovers in the form of tiny crystals, and they're just as delicious. However, now is not the time to get distracted. That thing, a creature, is getting really close now.

"Not again," you hear it say, although you don't understand its language. "I'm done with these idiots throwing trash into my yard."

From a distance you can sense that the creature is intelligent and developed. Interesting. Suddenly it hits you: there is not just a need to survive, but to grow stronger, to EVOLVE. You know your purpose, and that big intelligent creature might be exactly what you need. Before you can figure out what exactly to do next, you feel the creature is lifting up your hiding place.

"Look at this mess! A huge fricking rock, plastic wrappers... oh boy, oh boy," it says, and you can sense it is disappointed. Then, you see two brown eyes looking directly at you. "Ugh, now what is THAT?" the creature says loudly, "Now I've never seen this before, yuck."

You quickly notice that even though the creature is disgusted, it is definitely not scared of you. You do feel scared that it might do something to you though, so instinctively you open your slick slimy mouth, and release something into the air. It affects the creature. "Wh- wha-..." it goes, "what's happening... it feels good,"

The creature seems affected enough for you to be safe, so it's time to make a move now. You jump onto it, your legs hooking into the fabric it is wearing near its head. The tendrils leaving your mouth slither its way up its head, encountering several orifices. Your tendrils enter all of them. Snaking and gently piercing your way through its head, you sense the brain. Perfect. A connection forms between you and the creature, through your tendrils. Loads of information is coming to you now.

You quickly filter out the most important information to you. The creature is indeed intelligent, part of the planet's dominant species. An excellent start. The creature is also quite old for his kind. HIS kind? You learn about genders, something not familiar to you. This creature is a human male, and can procreate. This man thinks he is part of the stronger gender. Interesting. Is he though? You learn of the social constructs the man is familiar with too, like relationships, hierarchies, cultures, and things like names. By now you have also established that this man is called Edward Baker. Humans close to him call him Ed. We are in the community garden he tends to. Although thinking himself being quite strong, Ed has a weak mind compared to yours. It is very suggestible. This is only good news for you, because you seek to merge with a creature and become a better, stronger species, as one. You still need to figure out if that is even possible.

Through Ed's mind you also figure out that it is probably safe for you to be concealed. It is not normal for humans to have a slick and slimy creature latched onto them. You hide on the man's back under his t-shirt, your tendrils now only in his ears. Your dominant mind commands the human to walk to his home. It stiffly marches there, though it takes mere minutes to get there. Once inside you immediately make Ed disrobe for easy access. First you explore him from the outside, remaining connected to his brain. The thick tendril from your lower body enters another hole near his legs. Ed makes a funny sound. You probe a little further to sense if this is a good place to nestle and merge with him. You want to keep his brain, and have it work simultaneously with yours, you just need to find the right place to do this from.

A ringing sound comes from another part of Ed's house. Although the man's mind tells you there is someone to see him, it also lets you know that this someone could come back later as well. You decide it is more important to do what you want first. Others can wait.

Going deeper into his ass, you snake deeper into his intestines. These are not as accomodating as you'd like, and very long. You retract the tentacle, which generates another funny sound from the man. Vacating his asshole, Ed moans. This seems pleasurable to him. Pleasure seems like an easy tool to make humans submit. You make your bigger tendril and others go to the front of Ed's body. You encounter a fleshy appendage. From reading Ed's mind you learn human males have this thing called a penis to procreate. However, it appears that Ed hasn't really been able to use it that much for some time, and he doesn't have any children.

What started off as promising now turned out a bit disappointing. It seems Edward Baker is of not much use to you. Still, he might be of nutritious value. As you crawl on his face, you command him to open his mouth. He complies. Apart from the tendrils connected to his brain, a thicker tentacle from your mouth enters his, snaking down his throat. You absorb something. It feels good and makes you stronger. It also seems to make him weaker, as the man falls to his knees. At the same time, you hear a gentle knock on the window and a voice coming from outside.

"Hello, Mr. Baker?" this voice sounding different from Ed's. His mind tells you that it is his neighbour, a younger female named Alyssa. "Are you there? I'm here to return your screwdrivers."
