You meet a new face and start your jorney

“Follow me, please, miss Pike,” the lawyer says and leads you out of the police station.

“Your mother’s **** was a shock for your father and many old friends,” the lawyer says but his attempts to sound empathic are poor, “since you are the only daughter the two had, your father wants to get to know you. He asked me to bring you to his mansion and live there for a couple of weeks. With all advantages for a family member of course. You don’t have to work for food and rent.”

“I’m more than 18 years old,” you reply, “I don’t need his help. I don’t even know him.”

“Sadly, this is not a matter to discuss,” the Lawyer says calm but strict, “he ordered us to bring you to the mansion. And we all would prefer you just come along. Believe me, you are not in any danger. You will probably like it. It is much more luxury than your old home.”

“What exactly do you mean by ‘us’?” you ask surprised, “I thought you are alone.”

“Oh no, I have help in case you refuse to follow me willingly,” the lawyer says and knocks at the door of a nearby car.

You are stunned by the giant of a man who leaves the car. You have always been tall for a girl but this man is around two heads bigger than you. He must be at least 2 meters high. The man also seems muscular but still slender and fast. You are quite sure he does some sort of material arts. He wears sunglasses and has a short beard that goes around his chin. You also acknowledge his elegant shirt, pants, and his expensive looking shoes. His skin is slightly tanned. Also remarkable is, that he seems very young. You are sure he is not older than 21.

“Wow,” you say impressed, “I didn’t knew Goliath has a brother.”

You comment makes the man smile for a very short moment. The only reaction you see in his otherwise rock hard face.

“Eric is your bodyguard as long as you are not in the mansion,” the lawyer explains calm, “and if you refuse to cooperate, he has the order to grab you and drag you to your father if necessary. I really hope this will not be necessary since we mean no harm to you.”

“Fine, after you,” you say to the lawyer and point to the car.

Pleased with your answer, the lawyer takes place at the back seat and you sit down next t him. Eric, obviously also the chauffeur, sits down on the driver seat and starts the car.

“Well, according to your data, you were a quite good student,” the lawyer says, “I will fill in the forms to arrange your change to the local college in your new neighborhood. It’s an elite college, so you don’t need to spend any more time with lowborn children and criminal scum. Of course, it’s up to you if you want to go to school or not. The director is a … friend of your family and will keep the teachers form unnecessary complains.”

You raise an eye brown after this. This is a quite arrogant way to speak about your old classmates.
