Chapter 25 by Trom1806 Trom1806

The bloody abordage continues...

You have no time to look around. You rush to attack the pirates.

You quickly move to attack. Every moment matters. You don't have time to waste time looking around.

You continue to attack your enemies... The pain from your wounds and bruises is getting stronger... But you try to endure this pain...

Two pirates rush at you at once. One of them kicks you painfully in the knee. You don't have time to dodge and you fall to one knee. The second pirate tries to slash you with a falchion blade. He aimed at your head, but you managed to bend down slightly and the falchion blade only cut off a strand of your hair. In response, you delivered a quick slash to the pirate's stomach with your sword. The sharp blade of your thin elven sword easily cut human flesh. Guts spilled out of a disgusting wound in the pirate's stomach. A wild cry of pain merged with the general cacophony of the battle.

The second pirate tried to hit you in the throat with his curved dagger. This blow was not as successful as his attempt to kick you in the knee. You deftly stepped aside. The blade of a curved pirate dagger damaged your right ear.

You ignored the new source of pain. Almost simultaneously with the blow to your body, you struck this pirate in the face with your elven dagger. He also turned out to be a deft guy and he managed to dodge. Only a shallow cut on his forehead indicated that the blade of your dagger had lightly grazed his body.

Your enemy again continued to quickly attack you with a curved dagger. You deflected one of his attacks with your own dagger. You dodged the second blow. The third blow of the pirate dagger reached its target. You felt a pain in your chest. However, your chain mail withstood the blade of a pirate dagger. You just have one more bruise...

With the last attack your enemy made, you took advantage of the opportunity. You hit this pirate in the nose with your left elbow. The punch was successful. Broken nose. A gushing stream of blood. Stunning the enemy.

The next second you moved a little to the side to increase the distance. Swing of the right hand. The blade of your thin elven sword makes a quick movement and cuts the left side of the pirate's neck. Copious flow of blood from the cut arteries. The enemy's body falls onto its back. Another corpse.

You rush at your enemies again.

A group of three pirates attacks one of the sailors. The sailor fights back with a small one-handed axe. His two opponents are armed with small sabers. The third pirate is holding a short spear. It is obvious to you that in ten seconds this sailor will be killed if no one comes to his aid. Therefore, you quickly move towards these three pirates.

Just as the pirate with the spear is preparing to thrust his spear into the sailor's chest, you run up and make a quick thrust with your sword. The pirate was distracted and did not expect an attack from the right side. The tip of your sword pierces the pirate's right side without any resistance and reaches his heart. The lifeless body releases the spear from its hands and falls to the deck.

At this moment, the sailor, with renewed vigor, begins to attack one of his two opponents. The pirate dodges the ax and tries to strike with the saber. So far no success.

The second pirate with a saber turns in your direction. He makes a quick slash with his saber. The blade of the saber hits your left hand. The chain mail helped you avoid fatal injury. But in some places the chain mail could not stand it and tore. Another cut wound appeared on your left hand...

However, despite the pain, you did not let go of your elven dagger from your left hand...

Swing! Your sword collides with the blade of a saber. Your opponent successfully parried your blow.

Lunge! You deflected the saber strike to the side with your dagger.

Hit! The blade of your thin elven sword did not reach its target. The deft enemy dodged.

Swing! The blade of the saber almost cut your throat... You took a step back at the last moment.

You are approaching the enemy. The distance is getting shorter...

A series of blows...

The blade of your sword parries the blow of a pirate's saber. At the same moment, the tip of your dagger pierces the enemy’s hand right through... Your enemy drops his saber...

The pirate rushes at you...

You hit the side of the ship...

One of the pirate's hands grabs your right hand, which is holding the sword. The pirate's second hand does not have time to grab your left hand... You quickly strike another blow with a dagger to the pirate's right side...

However, your enemy manages to give you an unexpected head-blow... The bone of his skull collides with your nose. Your nose is broken. Blood runs down my face.

You again strike with a dagger into the body of the enemy... Your enemy has received mortal wounds, but with the last of his strength he makes one more movement... The pirate punches you in the throat... His body, by inertia, presses on your body... You lean over the side of the ship...

A second later, your body and the pirate’s body fall over the side of the ship...

Cold sea water... Two bodies plunge into the depths of the sea...

You are trying to make movements with your hands... You would like to swim... Your weapons: a sword and a dagger... For swimming, these things are only harmful, they interfere... You let go of the sword and dagger from your hands... The weapon quickly sinks into the depths of the water... Probably, you could have chances... If it were a small river, and not the sea... And if you weren’t wearing metal chain mail...

A cruel irony of fate. Durable elven chain mail, which has repeatedly saved your body from receiving mortal wounds... Now this item only hinders your attempts to swim in sea waters... You struggle to swim. But you can't do anything. You are sinking deeper... The air supply in your lungs is almost running out...

You are trying to remove the chain mail from your body... But it’s too late... Your movements are too slow due to the wounds you received... The air supply in your lungs is completely gone...

You begin to ****... Salty sea water penetrates your body... Water penetrates your respiratory tract... Water penetrates your lungs...

Your body sinks deeper... Minute by minute...

The body of the pirate you killed also sinks to the bottom... This body exudes blood from numerous wounds... This blood attracts some sea predators who like to hunt at a depth of a couple of hundred meters...

Soon, silhouettes of sea creatures begin to quickly swim near your lifeless body and near the pirate’s corpse. Piece by piece is being bitten off from your body...

By the time the remains of your body reach the seabed, what was once the body of a half-elf named Jerome is little more than gnawed pieces of bone and small pieces of bloody meat.

What's next?
