Chapter 33 by fantaghiro
What's next?
You give in and end up going to the dance.
In the end you gave in and agreed to go to the dance (if only to make Randall feel less guilty), and as you left him to his work and made your way back home, you realized that you were going to have to get yourself a costume. Unlike Randall, you didn't have the benefit of a friend in the fashion industry to help you.
Wish I could go as something cool like he is, you thought to yourself as you got off the bus and made your way inside. Texting Danny the 'good news', and also to find out what they were going to be dressed as. Hoping you might be able to get some costume ideas out of them. Whatever they were were going as though, you knew it wasn't going to be in any way as awesome as seeing your Aunt's body all dressed up in a sexy magicians outfit, that was for damn sure. Probably be something lame like ghosts or zombies or something...
In actual fact, Danny and Chris you soon discovered were going to dance as Mario and Luigi - having already bought the costumes. While this worked for them, it didn't really help you out any. Not really liking the idea of going as Princess Peach. In the end then, you just threw together a pretty cheap looking Jedi Knight outfit and met up with the two of them on the day of the dance outside the school hall.
"Hey, hey, hey! Look who it is, Obi-Tim Kenobi!" Danny greeted you as you approached. Him being the taller, louder one of the two. With spiky brown hair and glasses. Currently dressed, appropriately enough as Luigi.
"Hey, guys," you said, trying to sound enthusiastic. But in actual fact dreading this stupid thing.
If Randall were here it may not have been so bad. As cool enough as Danny and Chris were, they were a bit of a double act of their own (much like you and Randall were), and every time you hung around them, you always felt like a bit of a third wheel. The two of them sharing various little in jokes that you simply didn't get.
Chris, who was smaller and squatter and therefore a shoe-in for Mario, looked excited enough for the both of you though. Having plans to try and cop off with Maria D'Angelo at some point during the night, and was already raring to go. "Come on, Timbo. Look alive," he grinned, "Let's get in there and wreck up the joint!"
Unlike you and Randall, the two of them loved dances and social occasions like this. Being in their element when it came to strutting around the place and making fools of themselves in the process. They had a lot more confidence and really enjoyed the limelight, where as you preferred to keep quiet and not really stand out too much. This was one of the reasons why you never really liked going to these things with the two of them. These kind of dances being lame enough as it was without also having to witness the two of them wandering around like idiots. Seemingly having no shame whatsoever when it came to lunging around on the dance floor, doing their best to impress the girls.
Following them then into the main gym, where the dance was already in full swing, the three of you pushed your way through the crowds of similarly colorful looking students and classmates hovering about outside and headed on in. Inside it was pretty packed, just as the last dance you had attended had been. There being literally hundreds of students all fighting for space. Dancing, drinking, chatting away, and just generally having fun. Along with the odd awkward looking teacher, standing around also in costume.
Though you spotted the odd person you knew and engaged in a little chit chat, most of your night was spent tailing Danny and Chris as they went on the hunt for girls. Watching as Chris' attempts to smooth talk Maria pretty much backfired. No doubt due to the fact he was using a particularly offensive Italian accent to try and woo her. Danny was slightly more successful, and at one point you spotted him making out with a girl two years below - appearing rather embarrassed about it when you quizzed him later on. The only time you were actually left to your own devices was when the two of them went off to dance. With you amusing yourself by checking out some of the more attractive girls in attendance to see if any of them had any hot looking costumes.
You found the odd one admittedly. Jessica Issac dressed up as Super Girl. Carly Anders as a sexy pirate. And you even saw Becky Dean, who while not really all that attractive, was pretty busty, and was currently spilling out of a ow cut witches outfit. None of them however, compared to what Randall was wearing. Having been unable to stop yourself from thinking about both him and how his night was going (which was presumably a lot better than yours). Especially not after he'd sent you a picture of his costume before they'd all headed out. It had been everything you'd been expecting and more!
Madelyn was a master of her craft by the looks of things, having gotten the comic book outfit to a T (albeit the much more 'showy', sexier version). He was clad in a black top hat, coat and tails, with white magician's gloves, a white bow tie and collar. As well as a long black wig (much longer than his own hair), sparkly silver earrings and an exquisitely made up face. Instead of the white magicians shirt though, he wore a full body white corset that pushed his momentous mammaries up and together into the most awe inspiring shape. The two huge creamy orbs threatening to swallow up her neck and displaying a vast and enticing cleavage. As for what he had on below, you didn't get the full view from the photo but you could make out what looked like a pair of black panties clinging tightly his crotch, displaying the the full curve of his hips and thighs, as well Zatanna famous fishnets pantyhose.
Christ, he looked so unbelievably hot, and you found yourself more than once during the evening reaching for your phone to glance at the photo, as well as see if he'd sent you anything else. He hadn't though, presumably being a little too occupied, and you once again felt extremely jealous of all of the party guests that got to see him parading around like that, while you stood here at this lame dance, watching your two friends make fools of themselves on the dance floor...
"Hey, Tim. How's it going?" you heard a voice beside you ask. Looking up from your phone to see none other than Allison smiling away at you.
"Oh... hey! Hey, Allison," you replied, feeling suddenly flustered. Allison being dressed in a extremely cute Minnie Mouse costume. With a spotty red, white and black polka dot dress. Knee length socks. Black mouse ears and a bow. As well as a cute little painted black mouse nose on the end of her own. Making her look both adorable and kind of sexy at the same time. "...I'm uh, I'm good thanks. How are you?"
"I'm good too. Though I didn't expect to see you here. Don't you usually avoid these kinds of things?"
"Well, yeah... I did. But I thought "what the heck", you know. Might as well come see what all the buzz is about."
"Cool. Who you with?"
"Those two idiots over there," you told her. Pointing towards Danny and Chris who were currently flinging themselves around to Michael Jackson's Thriller.
"Ha ha. Yeah, I saw them earlier," Allison laughed. "They got some pretty interesting dance moves. You didn't fancy joining them then?"
You shook your head. "Nah. Three's a crowd." Having had no desire in the slightest, but playing it off as sort of a joke. "I thought my talents would be better suited over here. You know, using the old 'Jedi mind trick' to try and make everyone forget what they'd just seen."
This went completely over her head unfortunately. "Mind trick...?"
"Oh, you know. Because I'm a Jedi Knight," you explained. This not really registering either. "...From Star Wars..."
"Oh. Oh right. Is that what you are? Sorry, I never really got into those things. I thought you were supposed to be one of those anime guys. Dragonballs... or whatever it's called."
You could do little else but laugh at this. Feeling rather embarrassed. Wishing that you'd had time to find something better to wear. Pretty much everyone else at the dance looking so much better than you currently did. Especially Allison.
Speaking of which - as if seeking your approval - she asked you then, "What do you think of my costume?" Pulling at her skirt and doing a little pirouette. Looking rather proud.
"Yeah, it looks good. Very mousy," you told her. Chastising yourself immediately for not coming up with a better adjective. "Mousy?" What a moron...
Thankfully though, she just smiled. "Thanks."
After that you engaged in a little more small talk for a few minutes, before you kind of ran out of things to say. Feeling rather awkward and intimidated around her now. As much as you liked Allison, your previous interactions were usually in the hallways after class or around the school. Somewhere where you had backup or stuff to fall back on. Here, now, it was just you and her ,one on one, and your nerves were really starting to show. Especially due to the fact that you weren't really all that comfortable being at this dance in the first place.
After a rather torturous half minute of silence then, Allison eventually spoke up. "So are you sure you're not gonna dance?" she said, giving you a playful little prod. "It might be fun. I bet you've got some moves of your own. Plus, this is a really rocking song."

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
