You gain a new perspective

Satisfied that your exam will be a cinch now, you sit back and look up from your desk. Looking around, you see other students preparing to write, a few more coming in, cutting it close to the exam start time. You don't know why they wouldn't want to be here as early as possible. Being at school just felt... nice. You look around again. Something about being here felt good. Of course, you realize that the implant must be doing its job and smile, trying not to wriggle in your seat too much.

It doesn't take long for the teacher's assistant, Patrick, starts walking around and handing out exams as the professor explains the exam process. Patrick starts with the front rows, and your heart starts to beat as he approaches. Soon he was going to drop an exam booklet on your desk and then you could start... taking the exam. You feel your cheeks grow hot. Reading through the questions, working on detailed answers... you shiver. Patrick comes closer and closer to your desk, placing a booklet on each other desk. He gets to you, and you look at the exam in anticipation. He places it slowly on your desk. "Good luck." He whispers, causing you to breathe in sharply. You look up at him and he gives you a small polite smile before moving on.

Looking down at the face-down booklet in front of you, you feel your mouth water. A soft heat grows in your body. Maybe this was a mistake...
