on your walk
You find yourself at Joe's
You leave the house and notice a lot of construction going on next door. The previous owner had started a rehab project and after finishing the exterior went bankrupt under mysterious circumstances and the home had stayed unoccupied since. It seemed like finally construction had restarted on the interior. You pass by workers bringing lots of panels and tools inside.
You walk down the main drag and notice that Joe's, the local watering hole, has a special on $5 well margaritas. And you have a special need to get plastered. You're a regular here and recognize the bartender, Abby.
Alex : "Hey Abby, give me one of those margaritas, actually bring two"
Abby : "Rough day Alex?"
You just nod your head which works for her. She gets to work mixing the tequila triple sec and lime juice with a spritz of simple syrup. Shaking the ingredients and pouring the concoction into two old fashioned glasses with salted rims. You take the first one down in one sip.
Abby : "I see. Haven't seen you like this before. Is everything ok?"
Her dad owns the bar and after a few drinks you occasionally overcame your shyness enough to seriously talk with her. She is one of the nicest people you know and you feel bad that there is no way on earth you're going to tell her the truth.
Alex : "You wouldn't believe me if I told you"
Abby : "You get fired? Death in the family? Serious illness? I'm a bartender, I've heard it all."
You can't help but smirk. You have doubts that anyone could have possibly shared what ails you with any bartender anywhere.
Just then someone else walks in
