"I'm afraid it's worse than that. We had thought we had a chance to end the war once and for all. We were deceived, and we were decimated."

"The only survivor? So far as I know, yes. I suspect my twin sisters are being held captive."

"Wow. Don't get me wrong, I do wish you had come out on top. But still, I guess I owe you." His cruelty returns, along with his grim smile "If you hadn't banished me, I'd be among the dead too. I guess being a wretch has its advantages"
"So" he asked, raising his hands behind his head "What is your plan now that we're the only paladins left?"

"You're no paladin, but you may provide a chance to redeem your honor. I need weapons and armor. I'm going back, to save my sisters and finish what I started"

Robert laughed again "Michael, you're insane! You mean to tell me you narrowly escaped with your life, and your first thought is to turn back to the front so that you can throw it all away? I'll have no part in it."

The knave reached into a pocket and pulled out a gold coin "Here, something to get you started, so that you can buy yourself a coffin." His smile moved into a laugh, pushing you to your last nerve. You see his sword hung on the wall behind him. You know how easy it would be to take it and end his pathetic life, to exact some form of retribution and vengeance.
