You dream about Nadine.

In your dream she is scouting ahead in a dark forest. She shivers in the night air a worried expression crossing her face. Around her you see only darkness and the occasional flash of a pair of red eyes. It is too dark to see how many, but it could be as many as a dozen. There is fear in Nadines eyes. She climbs a tree and with expertise born from years of practice she notches an arrow and launches it in one smooth motion. There is a yelp of pain from a pair of red eyes. They seem to back off from her. A bead of sweat trickles down her forehead. A dark ominous shape charges toward her. She looses an arrow and the another, with blazing speed. She reaches back to grab another, as a dark form from behind her hurtles in the air colliding with her. Both fall out of the tree. Nadine hits the soft forest ground with a loud thud. The wind clearly knocked out of her, she struggles to get up. A monstrous clawed paw rips her dress leaving giant scratches across her torso.

Nadine screams. She grabs for a dagger on her hip. The beast is upon her again. It rips off the damaged remains of her leather armor and penetrates her with its phallus. She buries the dagger hilt deep into the beasts shoulder. The beasts howls, turns its head, sniffs the air, and scampers off.

In the dream you see yourself rush to Nadines aid. Her eyes are closed in terrible pain. You comfort her. "Don't worry, Nadine, I can heal you. We'll have you out of the forest by daybreak."

Her eyes snap open a feral red. And she snarls, "Whatever for priestess, this forest is a fine hunting ground." You here the cracking of bones as her jaw elongates and her teeth grow long and sharp. She growls.

You wake up and stifle a scream. The sun has just risen. Arielle, Harold, and Grayboar have clearly already been up a fire is burning and they are drinking tea. You wander over to them and Nadine joins you moments later. Soon Arielle and Nadine are debating the best way to the blasted lands.

"I think it best we continue on to Calla's outpost and leave the horses, it's the quickest route." Arielle says.

Nadine retorts,"Every treasure hunter takes that way. We maintain an element of surprise and go a day closer to Alidor by way of the forest."

You could side with Arielle, agree with Nadine or suggest another route.
