You want no part of taking this incident before the Dean of Students. Who knows what might be blurted out in the heat of anger, and the last thing you need is your relationship with Grace exposed. You look at the other teacher, considering how best to head this off.

"It seems to me that this is a squabble between students that got a bit out of hand, but has been resolved, or at least broken up," you say thoughtfully. "The young lady you're holding was insolent, but I'm content to let that go this time, considering what happened," you say. "But I won't tolerate a recurrence of that kind of behaviour," you add with a glare at Val.

"I suggest we separate them, escort them well away from here, and give them time to calm down and come to their senses."

Darnell nods his head, still holding the furious brunette. She is less inclined to listen to reason, her face crumpled in rage, so angry that tears are forming in her eyes.

"I'm going to get all of you!" she squawks. "She attacked me, that scrawny little bitch! And you were perving all over us! And I have a witness right there!" she adds, gesturing to the blonde who looks uncomfortable and angry.

"Let it go Val! Just stop it!"

"No! You can back me up! You can say what happened! Sondra you have to!"

Sondra shakes her head in disgust. "I'm don't want any part of this! I'm not lying for you, not over something this stupid!"

"You bitch! You traitor!" Val screams, her face turning scarlet with fury.

"May I go now?" Sondra asks, turning to look at both you and Darnell. The two of you share a look and he shrugs and nods.

"Yeah, go ahead," he says. "Thanks for your honesty."

"Sondra, don't leave! You fucking bitch, you've got to help me!" The blonde stops and looks at her, her face sad and tearful.

"Val, when you calm down come and talk to me. There's no reaching you when you're like this. Bye." She walks away in the direction of the main campus, her head down.

"So you walk that one away that way, and I'll take this brat in the other direction?" Darnell asks, still holding Val by the arms.

"That would be best," you say, gesturing Grace to walk away. "Nice meeting you Mr. Sharp. Thanks for helping out."

"My pleasure Mr. Carter. Hell of an introduction to the school," he adds with a laugh.
