You climb outside

You quickly grip the edges of the widow and haul your body out as quickly yet quietly as possible. You just settle outside the view of the hole as a head pops up. You hold yourself still as possible even as your muscles strain with the effort. Your hands tight and your arms burn as your knees press against the wall to help support your weight.

"Go fucking cunt" you think to yourself as you grit your teeth. Finally after what seems like hours but a mere 30 seconds you hear

"The foreign dog is gone. Nothing here." The man says...

You hear noises that sounds like movement and feet thudded on the floor. You let out a grunt of frustration, strain, fear and anger. You adjust your grip and look over at the gap now to your left of the widow. You reach and reach till finally your fingers just grip it enough as you pull yourself over to it. Panting quietly you lower your hand to another opening and another... you hear feet shuffle, movement and voices grow louder.

"GODS" You yell in your head... you look down and the ground is still far but as far. You let go... *Thud* you grunt from the shock even after bracing yourself for the impact.

Suddenly a door that was hidden under a ragged blaket pushes outward. A guard with one of thoe golden masks pokes his head out. He looks left, right then down at you.

Neither of you move for a few seconds then he shouts something but you don't let him finish it. Without checking if you had any broken bones first, you grip the dagger you always keep hidden in your left boot drawing in a flash and stabbing low. The blade enters the gut and you twist. Warm blood coats your hand as the man grunts in pain and surprise his voice cut off.

But you don't wait as you pull the blade free, rip the mask off and stab him in the neck. Then yank the blade back and take off running with a limp. Your right ankle burning as you grip the handle of your blade tight and the mask in your other. You hear shouting behind you and know its only seconds before they give chase.
