Chapter 234 by The Other Guy The Other Guy

What does Summer want to talk with you about?

You can take a wild guess

"I'll be in the kitchen." Delilah said hurrying through another door into the house. You wonder at what point this becomes an eating disorder.

Summer takes you upstairs and to the study. Your father is sitting on a lounge looking our over the forest. He was wearing the same loose clothes you were but his aura looked different. As Summer closes the doors behind you you remember the last time you were in here. Your eyes drift to the books Anastasia had been looking at, and how nice her ass had looked bent over like that.

"Sir." Summer said walking over to a serving cart and preparing something to drink. You hadn't internalise what she was wearing but it was one of your dads shirts and pants. Her aura looked different as well.

"Thank you Summer." Your father had a broad smile on his face and you saw his eyes drift down Summers dress.

Summer bent over the serving cart a little more than necessary pushing her ass out at your dad. You were happy for the two of them but really didn't want see him checking her out. "Always a pleasure to serve Sir." She looked over at him shifting on her feet to make her butt jiggle.

"I remember." Your dad answered her as the two giggled at each other. There aura's were livelier than you'd seen before, bouncing around to meet each other words and eye glancing eyes. You cleared your throat. Happy for them but watching this felt wrong. "Ah yes. Summer and I." Summer hurried the pouring and brought a tray to set between you and your dad. Then she shifted awkwardly. Your father looked at her then you. "You're mother passed a long time ago."

"I. Your mother meant a lot to all of us." Summer added.

"She still does." Your father added. The two looked at each other and gave some conflicted looks.

You reach for a drink cutting the two off. You might have been more than a bit oblivious but you damn well know a logical spiral when you see one. They are feeling guilty after last night. "I could go get her letter again." You said then took a sip. The pair looked at each other and you saw them relax a bit.

"We have spoken and," he took a deep breath and Summer gave him a supportive look, "we won't be getting married and if we have children they will follow your claim."

You blinked a bit surprised at that. "Oh." You'd never really thought about, what would happen after your dad died. It was a very long way off, certainly if you had something to say about it. If he and Summer did get married her family would have the primary claim on the estate. "Right." The feel of the room had just got very awkward. "Is that all?"

Your father shifted uncomfortably. "How is the capital?" He asked reaching for his own drink.

"Good, lots of fun." Saying that made some of those fun moments pop into your mind and you shifted in your seat. Summer had a faint smile on her face.

"Tell us about it then." Your father relaxed as did Summer.

"Lots to tell might want to have a seat." You say to her nodding at the space besides your father. The two shared a look then Summer sat. Their hands meet and their auras shined where they met and you figured out what was different about their auras. Had you really never seen your father happy before. That what it was, he was happy with Summer and she was happy with him. As their fingers intertwined you corrected yourself, that wasn't happiness that is love. You wonder if your aura would do that with any of your paramours.

"Christopher?" Summer said snapping you out of your mind. She let go of your dads hand seeing where you had been staring and you felt bad as their auras dimmed.

You couldn't just tell them to hold hands again so you started telling them about the capital. As you started speaking it was surprising how long it was. You had been away for two weeks but so much had happened. You told them how you had arrived to learn that you and Edin were sharing a room. That you had stumbled into a master swordswoman who told you you would joining her class or you would be expelled. How you had met Vatarie and become friends with her. How Asune had at first been creepy but you had gotten past that. The classes that you were taking and how they were mostly things you had learned at home. Your attendance of the Church of Nurture which got some looks from the two of them. Clare arrival and your friendship with her. All of the other friends you had made and the things you'd found out about yourself.

You left out a lot of the sordid details as you spoke. You did mention that you had began courting Anastasia which got very knowing looks from Summer and commons about how you don't have to go any further than you wanted no matter who she is. That one made you **** on your drink which made the two of them smirk. Their hands found each others again and their auras started dancing once more.

When you reached the end of your story you brought up Delilah's, situation. Summer and your dad smiled at each other. "Before the Princess I thought you and Delilah would be managing the house together when I couldn't." Your father said getting a nod from Summer.

"And now?" You asked expecting more of a comment about how you, Delilah and Anastasia who you just said you were courting.

"You wouldn't be the first noble to," Summer pushed her shoulder against your father, "be with their staff." Your dad blushed and so did you. "She could go with you to the capital. Your father already sent one to you." There was a bit of tension in her at that. She must mean Clare though the tension seemed a bit unexpected.

"Zara told me." Your father said when Summer took her hand away from his cutting him off.

"We need more to drink." She grabbed the tray and went to the serving cart. This felt like an old argument but you were saved from being present for it happening again by a knock at the door. Summer walked over and opened the door reveal Delilah holding a plate with fruit, there was a slightly bare bit of the plate and Delilah's chewing jaw made it clear why that was the case. "Please come in." Summer waved Delilah in and the food was put between you.

Delilah sat down next to you and took your hand leaning into you. Summer and your dad watched your hands then looked at each other. "Delilah." You father said. You had a premonition, you were about to hear the what are your intentions bit. "Are you happy?"

Delilah smiled and you felt her aura encircle you. "More than I have been in a lifetime." Delilah said but you heard Eve's voice beneath it.

"And has Christopher told you about the Princess?" He asked. You swallowed at a thought occurred. You really hope both Eve and Delilah aren't the jealous type or this could go, nuclear.

Delilah looked at you. "No?"

"She and I are courting." You did you best to preemptively active your magic.

"Oh ok." Delilah shrugged but didn't react beyond that.

"Will you want to go with Christopher to the capital?" Summer asked sitting next to your dad but keeping a bit separate from him.

Delilah opened her mouth then closed it. She tired again but stopped and frowed her brow. "We aren't sure yet." Eve said. Neither your dad nor Summer reacted to the complete change of voice and that was it for you.

"Did Zara leave a note about Eve and Delilah merging because how is no one noticing this?" You gestured to Delilah's now much larger chest drawing everyone eyes.

"She's always looked like that Christopher." You dad say softly. "You only just noticed."

You blinked at him. He was being sincere which meant there was some magic at play because Delilah was not this staked. Also he made no comment about 'Eve' and 'merging' which were the much easier parts to notice. "Oh." You said. Delilah took in a deep breath pushing her chest out since you had been staring at it since you brought it up.

"Weren't you supposed to bring some cold meat?" Summer asked bring your attention back to them and off, them.

"I, ah." Delilah froze. Summer fixed her with a glare.

"You are a member of staff no matter what bed you sleep in." Summer said standing up and picking Delilah up. "Back to the kitchen." She said matching Delilah out of the room. "I am sorry for her behaviour Sir." Summer left the room after Delilah closing the door and leaving you and your dad alone.

You sat in silence for a moment. "I miss you dad." You said giving him a smile.

"I missed you too." He said back getting out of his seat and giving you a hug. It was warm and comforting and when he pulled away you felt better about, well a lot of things. "Now," he waved you back to your seat, "why don't you tell me all the things you left out the first time." He had a broad smile.

You sat and smiled back. You still left out the really sordid details but included the fact you weren't so much courting as in a relationship with Anastasia, Vatarie, Asune, Edin and Clare and a bit more on how close you were with your other friends. He made a few teasing remarks about how many women you were with.

When you finished he said that if you ever need to talk to fly back home. You added that you'll make sure to avoid his room and he chocked in his drink this time. You both laughed and he asked if you were ok with him and Summer.

"I'm happy to see you happy." You said remembering their auras shining. "If you want to marry her you should. I doubt any of my future siblings would throw me out." You father shifts a bit at the mention of future siblings. You're glad you left out the more sordid details, who knows how he would react to hearing about often you risk giving him grand kids. You laugh and he shakes his head.

"Come on. I'm sure you have better things to do than tease your father." He stands up and walks you to the studies door. "As for Delilah," he sighs, "come back next weekend, if she wants to join you I'll see about making arrangements and maybe you can ask one of your partners if they need another staff member." He shakes his head at what he is saying. "I am proud of you Christopher. Though maybe you shouldn't find any more partners."

You both left the study and headed down stairs. You heard Summer's voice from the front of the house and your father headed towards it. You still needed to check for any more of your mother's letters so you went to the kitchen figuring that Delilah would be there.

Is Delilah there and can you finally get to letter hunting?
