You can't bear to stand by and do nothing.

Even if Lenny might deserve it, you can't just sit back and do nothing. Disregarding the risks to yourself or even to your own pokémon you step out from the relative safety of your hiding place and confront the Rocket.

"Stop! No so fast!" you yell.

Your interruption had the effect of stopping the theft in progress, but unfortunately the Rocket Grunt doesn't seem in the least bit concerned, rather he seems quite pleased to see you, Lenny starts screaming again "Amber run, you don't understand RUN!" he yells as you send out your Nidoran.

You still think Lenny is a creepy looser but you think a little better of him knowing he at least tried to warn you, thought you wish he would stop screaming as his panic is only making you more focus on the consequences of losing this battle with a criminal rather then the battle itself. You don't spend to much time think highly of Lenny given the moment the Koffing stops looming over him Lenny starts running away.

"Koffing get the slut!" the rocket yells.

You curse as you watch Lenny bolt past you "Hey stop! Come back here!" you yell after him. Then you curse again when you turn back and see your Nidoran mistook your yelling at Lenny as her orders and stopped mid attack. Your confused Nidoran is tackled aside by the Koffing who keeps charging past her directly at you.

You fumble with your pokéballs as you race to recall Nidoran and get Chance out before the Koffing collides with you. You take far too long, but thankfully Chance, fast as always, takes only a moment to assess the situation and before you could have possibly issued an order he moves into action on his own. It's a good thing your Rattata didn't waste any time given the unsuspecting Koffing is mere inches from smashing into your chest when Chance intercepts it. Surprisingly to everyone but maybe Chance himself, the Koffing is sent crashing into the wall with a loud thud. The Koffing seems to move for a moment, thought maybe it's just sliding down the wall, regardless what is clear is that after Chance collides with it a second time the battle is over.

"Shit, I should have just taken that punks Mankey and left when I had the chance, but it would have made me look so cool to bring back a Pokéslut!" the Rocket curses seemingly to himself as he recalls his fainted Koffing and runs off without even logging your battle with him. You chase after him wanting to get your prize money but when you make it outside the Rocket Grunt is no where to be seen, what you do see however is the trail leading down the hill and into bustling streets of Cerulean city.
