You bluff

You take a few moments to think about what to say, buying yourself some time until El Jefe looks at his man and is about to order him to chop your hand off.

"No, stop. It's not going to work," you say, trying to remain calm.

"What do you mean? Your hand can't be chopped off? Eiza assures me you were not able to use your powers before she made you ****," El Jefe says. You glare at Eiza, who returns your stare, before you return your attention to El Jefe.

"No, you could probably do that, but you won't get what you want. If you chop my hand off, the rings will disappear. They can only be removed by their wearer. It's the only way they can transfer to a new owner," you say, lying through your teeth.

El Jefe holds a hand up to his henchman to tell him to wait while he thinks about what you just said. "How do I know you're telling the truth?" he asks.

"Are you willing to risk it?" you say in return. El Jefe rubs his chin as he thinks some more and you silent heave a sigh of relief. "Maybe we can come to a deal," you say.

El Jefe looks up and removes his sunglasses. "Maybe. What do you propose?"
