He wants your powers

You have a few guesses but you decide to keep them to yourself in case you give the cartel boss any ideas.

"You see, you're very powerful, with those magic rings of yours," the person who called himself El Jefe says. "When I learned about you from the news, I thought, I want to be like you. So I had my men search for similar rings, because there must be more magical items and artifacts out there, right?" El Jefe holds up a small cloth sack and shakes it and you can hear its metallic contents jingling inside. He drops it to the ground and a few rings spill out. There must be hundreds of rings in the sack.

"And I'm sure there are, but we haven't found any yet and well, I'm in impatient man. So, when I keep seeing you in the news, I thought to myself, that's a stupid man. Showing off his rings and powers, acting like he's invincible. But I know you're not. That's what was reported in the news. I know what your abilities are and are not. And so, I thought, why don't I just take the rings from you? And that's why you're here," El Jefe says.

You gulp, realizing how reckless you've been now that the cartel boss has pointed it out. While you have been able to enjoy the limelight, you hadn't thought about the dangers you've exposed yourself to and now you're paying for it.

"But, it seems those rings of yours won't come off so easily," El Jefe continues.

You realize Eiza or his men must have tried to remove your rings while you were **** but were unable to. You've experimented this before with Alex and you know that they can only be removed by the wearer, you, and El Jefe must have come to the same conclusion by now.

"They won't come off unless I want them to," you say confidently.

El Jefe shrugs and points to 1 of his men, who brandishes a machete. You can still see stains of dried blood on the blade. "Doesn't matter. Guess we'll just do it the hard way. Look, I've got nothing against you personally and normally I only do this to people who steal from me, but you leave me ****," El Jefe says as his man takes a step towards you.

"Wait! Hold on!" you shout, panicking as you realize your hand is about to be chopped off. The man with the machete stops and looks to his boss for instruction.

"You'll take them off willingly and hand them to me?" El Jefe asks.
