You're fascinated by her - and attracted to her (Male)

After that night, you can't seem to stop thinking about what you saw. Calypso was a real-life mermaid! It changed so much about what you thought you knew about the Night School. Hell, it changed what you thought you knew about the world! You've lost count how many hours you've spent looking up stories about mermaids, about how they were considered evil to some cultures and good to others. You've also noticed how often popular culture confuses them for Sirens. (Sirens were part bird, not fish!)

Unfortunately, Calypso's Night School classes were the main thing keeping you from talking to her. There were only a few rare occasions when you saw her during the final period of day classes, but she seemed pretty embarrassed to see you. Whether this was because you caught her skinny dipping or because you knew she was a mermaid was anyone's guess. Usually, you'd see her in the hallway coming towards you in her wheelchair. A towel was draped over her lower half to hide her fish tail while a white polo shirt covered her top. Once she saw you, she would abruptly stop before turning her chair around and wheeling herself away.

The more you thought over her, the more your thoughts turned to her human side. The image of her blonde hair flowing behind her bare back as she swims was tantalizing. And even when she scowled at you or blushed at seeing you, you couldn't help but think of how beautiful she looked.

Someday soon, you would indeed get to have a personal discussion with her. Just not how you would have imagined.
