Chapter 9 by MidbossMan MidbossMan

How are you feeling about all of the saintesses?

You'll fulfill Geod's wishes and fully tend to each of them

There was no need to waver. You recited to her the duty of all squires: to accompany each saintess they're assigned to, for the glory of Geod. You didn't intend to do any less. Six saintesses would be a challenge, especially granted the personalities some of them were sporting-- present company excluded-- but you intended to carry it out to the best of your capability. Each of the saintesses were capable and worthy of the mission, you estimated.

For a moment, the nun smiled, but the smile turned a bit awkward as she chewed on your words. "Yes, good. A faithful squire, to be certain! I can tell you've studied well. And... and you intend to fully follow the prophecy as Geod has delivered it to us, I assume?"

You responded: fully.

"And... and so that means you'll be... laying with the saintesses, I take it?"

You nodded again.

She squinted her eyes slightly and her smile began to quiver. You weren't quite sure what to make of her expression. "You'll be fully carrying out your duties with every single saintess?" she reiterated once more.

It was getting a bit tiresome, but you nodded once again.

"You'll be... s-sleeping with six women! You understand that properly? Six women!" Rosary reiterated, clasping her hands to her cheeks. Rather than waiting for you to answer, she shook her head side to side furiously. "Oh my! Oh, I'm sorry! I shouldn't be taking such a tone with you, I apologize! That was cruel of me. I know you're only here to do what our Lord commands of you."

You laughed awkwardly and accepted her apology gracefully, telling her that you understood how strange it must seem.

"But... but please consider me a friend, even among the saintesses, and if you ever have special needs... come to me first, okay? I am a healer, with Geodsight besides! So I can be trusted and relied upon. For... for anything I mean. It's not... ahem," she paused, coughing into her fist and straightening her back. When she did, she seemed to become twice as tall. "It's not a sin to favor us differently. There is room for personal preference and guidance of the heart. So if you should choose to confide in me, Geod will not chastise you for it. Indeed, he may be pleased!"

Message received loud and clear: Sister Rosary Hind wanted you to spoil her a bit. You didn't say that out loud, but you understood it. She might be a bit more of a handful than she first appeared.

What's next?
