Chapter 152 by The Other Guy The Other Guy

Do you want to chat to the sisters and Cynthia or just have a meal with Edin?

You'd like some more time with Edin but considering your choice of Goddess you should check in with them

When you arrive at the dinning hall with an arm around Edin's side you think about Stephanie's parting words. You look at the room and see where you had always thought there were a few people watching you, if right now was an indication you underestimated. Almost everyone group that didn't have a guy with them had members looking at you and as you walk to the pillar to get your plate those that saw you were encouraging others to look as well.

You accept that you had developed an exhibitionist because as you go load up your plate the hand around Edin's side moves to grope his ass. He lets out a surprised squeak but doesn't complain as you hand stays where is squeezed until you start to pile up your plate. When you are done you look around to see a lot more people chatting as they look at you.

When Edin has his much smaller breakfast you direct your walk to Oriana, Auria and Cynthia. The three had looked up to see you shortly after you arrived and when they saw you approach they shifted to make room for you between the sisters. Edin pulled away when you got close and he sat next to Cynthia. You kinda wanted him to be a bit closer but you had chosen to come here.

"Good morning Son o," Oriana starts when you interrupt her with a look, "Christopher." She corrects herself.

"Told you he wouldn't like it." Auria said leaning past you to smirk at her sister. "Hey Christopher, thanks for your advice by the way." She beamed at you and it took you a moment to remember you had suggested she go to Lucia's room.

"Happy to help." You answer with a smile, happy for the potential the two had together, they seemed like a good match to you.

"She said no threesome though." She added making her sister sigh in resigned acceptance.

You chuckle a little, "Just have fun with each other." You say then broach the reason you'd sat with them. "Farrah sent a letter about the rituals working to the head of the Church."

Oriana looked very happy. "She should have sent it last week when you first summon the Mother, I told her too." She was clearly expecting some praise from her expression.

"Once could have been a fluke." You were still uncomfortable with her apparent devotion for you. "Anyway where is the head of the Church, will a reply come before the next weekend?"

"Will you be coming to Church?" Oriana asked rather than answer your question directly.

You picked who you picked to avoid getting that much into the Church and here you are getting into it anyway. "Maybe." As you say it you suddenly wonder if the rituals will still work. The ones not summoning the Mother should, it's just magic with extra steps but no Mother means no summoning her as proof.

She doesn't look at all concerned with your vague answer and answers your first question. "Well the letter from Farrah will take a few weeks to arrive, so no response will come for at least a month."

That is longer than you hoped. If Clare's sister picks a potential closer to the Church's central location it will harder for your existence to get in the way of that potential's religious rise. Not that you can do anything about it now. "Quite a distance."

"We are the first Church in the Kingdom." Auria said though her food reminding you of you own hunger.

"Really?" You start to eat shortly after asking.

"Farrah only got here a few months ago." Auria adds between mouthful.

The conversation lulls as one apparent advantage to the distance to the head of the Church and Oriana devotion comes to you. If you have no other choice you're in a good position to change the religion's doctrine if needed. You stop eating as the horror of that thought hits you. Clare said her sister was roleplaying the Mother of All so she hadn't created the religion. A Goddess changing a religion to suit them seems justified you doing it was wrong on a lot of levels.

While you recover from your own brain jumping to religious manipulation you hear Cynthia and Edin chatting. They'd been talking since you sat down and you didn't want to eavesdrop on their conversation so you did your best to ignore it. However this is the only time you'd heard Edin being friendly with someone other than Anastasia and her circle so you pay a bit of attention now that you weren't in your own conversation.

They mostly talked about the academy and the books they'd read to study up. That reminded you the last time you'd read something was when you read to Edin. You should check if there is a library of some sort, as busy as you are at the moment you shouldn't abandon expanding your knowledge to the lessons taught but at the academy.

Thinking of people were starting to leave to dinning hall for class and you were kinda excited. Magical theory was about the only class you were interested in studying since it was the only subject you only felt a little ahead of the class rather than very ahead.

Magic how does it work?
