Sarah just finished setting the table and putting out the food, so she texted "Great, come on in!"

A few seconds later, there was a knock on the door, and she answered it to see Nick and Holly. Holly's hair was a little messed up, and Nick had a fresh hickey on his neck. Sarah tried to quiet her envy of her best friend, and did her best not to imagine Nick's hands, tangled in her hair as she bit and tugged on his lip, before moving down to his neck, and kissing him hard enough to leave a mark, to stake her claim on her secret crush.

"Wow!" Holly said, breaking Sarah out of her fantasy, "that looks great! Let's eat!"

"You didn't have to go through all this trouble, Sarah." Nick added, but his stomach growled, and he laughed.

Sarah decided that she couldn't sit next to Nick, and so she put Holly between them. What this meant, however, was that she was facing Nick directly, and with the candle light, it was almost like they were having a romantic dinner.

"You have beautiful eyes, Sarah." Sarah kept eating for a moment, before she realized that Nick had said that to her, and not Holly.

"What?" she glanced at Holly, not wanting her to think she was trying to seduce Nick, or anything.

"Your eyes." she felt his hand on hers, and looked back at him. "A man could get lost in eyes that gorgeous."

"Holly, I swear, I have no idea what he's talking about." Sarah reached out and grabbed Holly's shoulder so that she would look at her. However, instead of the anger she was expecting, Holly put her own hand on Sarah's and brought it too her cheek.

"You have wonderful hands." Holly tilted her head and kissed Sarah's palm. Then she turned the hand over and began to gently kiss the knuckles while Sarah sat, shocked. Between kisses, she said "You two have a very-" kiss "-nice mood going." kiss. "you should kiss."

As if on cue, Nick stood up and leans forward, close enough that she could kiss him if she did the same. But should she? Sure it seemed like Holly was okay with it, but maybe it was some sort of test. Holly kissed Sarah's wrist. Okay, maybe a test wasn't the most likely explanation.
