I got a text message from Samuel the next morning.

You won, wanna come and claim your prize, and and maybe help me open my door?

I closed my phone and decided to go over as soon as possible. Samuel was sitting next to the door still trying to get it open. I went over and took the pick from him and got the lock open in about a minute.

"Such a good skill. I'm impressed," Samuel said.

I handed him the pick. "So you can practice more."

"I shall thank you kindly for the gift," he said before going over to the book on the table.

"Wait. If didn't open the door, would you have been unable to manipulate us?" I asked afraid that I made a mistake.

"I actually have several of the books, but I prefer to keep you girls commands all close together."

"So for your prize. I was thinking of something like,"

"What do you think," he asked.

"But... your giving me power to control her? How is that going to make things easier for her?"

A warm wave washed over me. I suppose, he was right. I didn't need to use this, but I had the ability at least. I thought about Tessa this morning and about how she had slapped herself. She was so happy last night during our date. I loved that so much. I needed a way to help her.

"Okay. Thank you," I said.

Samuel lifted the computer piece. "Found it!"

I laughed a bit. "That didn't take long."

"You used your skills in the right way. I'm so freaking proud of you, your going to a wonderful wife and mother someday."

I blushed. "I should head back now. Thank you."
