The Magical Journal
The Professor's Game
Chapter 1
by CMW
Authors notes. The Magical Story got a ton of likes so I thought it would be worth expanding on. So I have edited Chapter 1 to now be this introduction and moved Tessa to Chapter 2 as my first story within this universe. So this story is hopefully set up more to be ready for other creators to come and join the fun!
So this story is about a college professor Samuel who has been manipulating women with a magic book for over 20 years. He slowly breaks them down psychologically until they give in or beat him by a set of rules he crafted to make the game more interesting for him. He never seeks to make the women he controls unhappy, rather he redefines what happiness is for the losers. While he by contrast respects the winners and is eager to see who they will become.
Currently as of the lore of the Magical Journal. He has 137 losers and 8 winners. Which gives you guys plenty of room to just pick a random number and tell the story of how that women lost! Or won. I'm not picky. Don't worry about cannon if you don't want to but please mark your story line as ignoring my cannon if you wish to do so.
So how the book works. He needs to write your full name given at birth then one of 3 commands. Action, Rule or Belief. Action is a one time action the user will be compelled to complete immediately. Rule is a permanent thing in which they must live by. Belief will change their internal thinking to believe the thing written is the truth. If a page with a command is destroyed, the magic will cease. If a page is torn from the book, the commands written on it will continue to work but new commands cannot be written on it.
I am going to post Samuel's rule set to his game. But feel free to modify them(they evolved as he got better so if you have a loser 27 for example it is reasonable his rules were different.)
The Game
The game is a battle of wits between the players(those being manipulated by the magic book) and the game master(the one using the magic book.)
The Game Ends when 1 of 2 possible win conditions have been met.
The player's win condition is to prevent the game master from manipulating them for one full week. At which time, the game master shall admit defeat and the player is freed from all rules and may seek a reward.
Keep in mind that the professor electing not to manipulate the player does not meet the requirements. The professor must be unable to manipulate the user.
The game master's win condition is for the player compelled to honesty by the book admits they no longer seek freedom from his control.
Rules of engagement.
Rule 1. When the game master is alone with only players, the game master is not permitted to lie_. If the game master makes a promise he is required to keep it. Omissions do not count, nor do simple mistakes. The game master is not allowed to intentionally give the players false information. If the player takes "Harsh" actions, any promise the game master has made are voided. Harsh actions are defined as choices that could put the game masters in physical or legal danger.
Rule 2. The game master is not allowed to **** the a player to give advice on how defeat them.
Rule 3. The game master is not allowed to place the players in a situation where physical or legal danger is a likely risk or something the player cannot reasonably avoid.
Rule 4. The player is allowed to do whatever they wish
Rule 5. The player may seek a trade, in which they make an offer of compliance "the promise to do something voluntarily" in return for a punishment being removed. If the player is found breaking their oath, they will be subjected to a "penalty game". A penalty game is when an existing rule or a new rule is made and upgraded to a permanent status. Even upon the player winning the game, the rule with such a status will not be removed.
Rule 6. Once per month, the player may ask what commands they are currently under.
Players
Losers
Clara Joy - Loser 121. She is the dean of the college and discovered what Samuel was doing and tried to stop him, this got her a one way ticket into the game. She lost and Samuel's poetic punishment for her was to make her deeply enjoy playing with toys(since she tried to end his game, now she prefers to play games.)
Bianca Fiore - Loser 92. She was a lesbian introverted Goth student that was selected for yet to be defined reasons but when she lost Samuel changed her to a extroverted high fashion straight girl. (he likes contrast.)
Winners
Hannah Patel - Winner #1. She is the kindest of the winners. Also the richest. She used the lessons that Samuel taught her to become a millionaire and married a woman. She is more than happy to invest in things that any of the players want, whether winners or losers. For example she helped Bianca start a salon after she lost.
Samantha Williams - Winner #4. The most sadistic of the winners. While she doesn't do it out of a sense of hate. She believes that Samuel's game is a form of tough love and tries to replicate that in her normal life. So she treats current players with a cruel sense of love. She is much **** to those that aren't in the game or who have already won or lost. She owns a lingerie shop because she enjoys how it reminds her of the first time Samuel **** her to strip.
Chloe Martin - Winner #7. A investigative reporter that is supremely curious. She uses the skills she learned in her career and tries to uncover a good story. She had journalistic integrity but she is a troll when she isn't actively working on a case. Like Samantha, she believes the game leans towards a sense of tough love and will actively push current players. Though she does it in subtle ways that the players usually later thank her for.
Lisa Wong - Winner #8. The most recent winner of barely a a couple months ago. She is still in college. Highly analytical and almost emotionless. She is in love with a girl named Sarah and is still trying to figure out if she should hate Samuel for the game's **** or thank him for how much she has grown from it.
I think that is all the context ya need! If ya have any questions. Feel free to ask!
Which Story do we start with first?

A college professor has a magical journal that can compel people to obey things written about them. The rules of the book. You must write the character's full name given at birth, and one of key phrases. Action, Rule, or Belief and then a command under under that phrase.
