Chapter 11 by foxloversi foxloversi

Do they leave in time?

Yes

Steve and Maria arrived at Professor Kake's house, where he greeted them with a mixture of surprise and concern. After they explained the situation, he listened intently and nodded his head.

"To be honest, I don't know that much about vampires," he said, "but I do know that there are people who hunt them. Vampire hunters, if you will. I've heard rumors that there is a group of them operating in the area, but I don't know much more than that."

Steve's eyes lit up at the mention of vampire hunters. "Do you know where we can find them?"

The professor shrugged. "I'm afraid not, but I can do some digging and see what I can find out."

Maria felt a pull towards Nikolai, stronger than ever before. She could almost hear his voice calling to her, urging her to join him in the night.

"Steve, I don't know if I can do this," she said, her voice shaking. "I can feel him calling to me. I want to be with him."

Steve took her hand and looked into her eyes. "I know it's hard, Maria, but we have to try. We have to find these vampire hunters and stop him before he hurts you or anyone else."

"Steve...you know he didn't 'hurt' me, right? It was opposite to that..." she trailed.

"Maria, please... just stop, ok? I really don't want to hear anymore of this right now, it's driving me crazy," Steve impatiently stood up and begged her.

"Ok. It's really difficult for me to control these urges but I'll do my best. For you." Maria sighed.

As they settled into their makeshift sleeping arrangements in the professor's living room, Steve couldn't help but worry about Maria's safety. He knew they needed to find the vampire hunters as soon as possible. The professor offered them some basic knowledge about the vampire hunters' ways and where to find them.

Maria, on the other hand, found it hard to shake off her desire for Nikolai. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help it. She felt drawn to him, and it was difficult for her to control herself during the night. Steve had to keep a close eye on her and even tied her to the bedpost at one point, afraid she might wander off to look for Nikolai.

The next day, with the sun high in the sky, Maria found it much easier to suppress Nikolai's influence over her. Her energy also returned somewhat. After thanking the professor they set out to find the vampire hunters, but it wasn't easy. They didn't know where to start, and the hunters were known to be elusive. They went from town to town, asking questions, but no one seemed to have any information. The only clue they had was a rumor about a vampire hunter who lived deep in the forest.

After gaining more or less vague directions to his location they decided to head into the forest, hoping to find the hunter. They ditched the car where the road ended and made their way through the thick woodland, the sound of leaves crunching underfoot filling the late afternoon air. They were on edge, constantly looking over their shoulders for any signs of danger. Suddenly, a figure appeared from behind a tree. It was a tall, muscular man with a stern face, carrying a large hunting rifle.

"Who the hell are you and what do you want?" he demanded, pointing his rifle at them.

"Whoa, whoa, take it easy, we're unarmed. We just want to talk," Steve calmly tried to defuse the situation, both remaining their hands up in the air.

The guy observed them for a moment and then slowly lowered his rifle. "Alright then. Talk."

Steve and Maria introduced themselves and explained their situation. The hunter listened carefully, his expression growing more serious with each passing moment.

"Well...it seems you two are pretty much fucked," he said finally. "I know of Nikolai and I might have a chance against this kind of vampire. But with you two in the middle it's much, much more difficult. I don't know..."

"Look, sir, we don't know shit about vampires or how to defend against them. Our lives are at stake here, you have to help us!" Steve tried to persuade him, unable to hide desperation in his voice. Maria, sitting on a tree trunk, squirmed nervously and gave the hunter a pleading look.

She was grateful for Steve defending her with such determination and staying by her side when many other guys would probably just abandon her, considering what she had done. However, as the sun was slowly beginning to set and the shadows grew longer a familiar craving began to rise inside her again.

"Please Mister, I'm begging you, you can't turn us away now when it's getting dark," she pleaded.

"Ughh... damn it. Alright, come with me, you may stay at my cabin for the night. We'll see what to do tomorrow. But keep in mind that I'm in charge and if you want to make it through, you better listen to me. By the way, my name is Connor," the hunter instructed them as he led them through the forest, avoiding many traps and snares on the way.

Soon they reached his cabin and Connor started preparing fire and dinner. As they sat around the fire, enjoying the warmth and the venison stew, Steve noted hunter's gaze on Maria, his eyes lingering on her in an awkward way.

"Why are you staring at her?" Steve asked, a hint of suspicion in his voice.

The hunter hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I can see the hunger in her eyes," he said finally. "She gave in to this Nikolai and his seed tainted her. This is what happens when you have sex with a vampire and you accept their corruption. You become linked to them and they can sense your presence." Connor turned to Maria with serious expression, "It is just a matter of time until he finds you. And you won't be able to fight him. In fact, you would run to him as a lost puppy, betraying your boyfriend and everyone else in turn. So, the only thing you can do now is to have sex with your boyfriend in order to quench your desires."

Maria and Steve both stared at Connor for a moment in disbelief as he chewed on a big piece of meat.

"You can't be serious. We're not really in the mood for sex right now, you know." Steve argued while looking for support from Maria. But she just averted her eyes down in embarrassment and discomfort.

"Oh you're not in the mood, huh?" Conor laughed mockingly. "Believe me, if that bloodsucker finds her, she'll be in such a mood you won't believe your eyes. You don't know what you're dealing with, do you? Let me explain you something - your girlfriend is a major league slut for that vampire now and the only thing you can do at the moment is to fuck her brains out and satisfy her desires as best you can because those desires of her are guiding him here like a fucking lighthouse! You got that?"

Steve was gaping with his mouth open, unable to respond, so Maria intervened and nodded to Connor's words, adding, "He's right, Steve. I know that he can sense me because I can sense him in some weird way. I can't feel where he is or any other detail, but I feel his presence and it's growing. And, well, it does make me horny."

Rising arousal and corrupted desires in Maria also washed away most of her inhibitions and she smiled seductively at Steve. "Honey, I think we should really do it."

"Ain't this the easiest job for the Prince Charming? I'll look out here for dragons while you get to fuck the princess!" Connor laughed in his crude way. "But if your lady needs more help with her predicament...well, I'm happy to oblige..."

"Ok, that's enough, don't be an asshole!" Steve finally collected himself, stood up decisively and offered Maria his hand. "Come, Maria..."

"I intend to," she smiled mischievously as she took his hand.

"Jesus, could you calm down a little bit?" Steve was getting irritated by both his lewd girlfriend and this coarse vampire hunter. As they went to the cabin, he turned back to Connor at the door and added firmly, "Connor, be a gentleman and give us some privacy while we're in your cabin, will you?"

"Don't mind me, just enjoy saving your princess." Connor quipped with a smirk, lapping up the remnants of the stew.

Does Steve help Maria?
