"It's only about mid day, so we could explore a little bit and see what we can find" Annabel says smiling. You can tell the rest of the group doesn't want to stop here either so you agree it is worth continuing on.

"Hmmm" you say scratching your chin before you all start down.

"What are you thinking about" Yvette asks seeing your pause.

"Lysandra isn't fitting down these stairs" you reply. The group looks at the stairs and then at the giant carnosaur watching you all.

"Lysandra" you say getting her attention "Head back to camp and help Bruce keep guard ok" you tell her. Lysandra walks up to each of you and give you each a lick. You can hear a deep rumbling purr like sound from her. She steps back looking at the group and the stairs.

"I know, we'll be careful I promise" you tell her catching on what her concern is. She turns around and starts heading back to the camp watching you over her shoulder for a ways before finally turning her head back towards the direction of the camp. You smile knowing she was concerned about her new family.

"Down we go then. We need to take this slow since we don't know what is waiting for us down there" you warn. The group nods their heads and you take the first position. The moment your foot touches the first step a series of lights blink on. The stairs go down quite a ways, maybe three or four stories worth, and you can see a hallway begin. On the right side of the stairs you see another display appear with the same tic tac toe pattern. You assume so you could close the doors again if needed from the inside, or open them of course.

Steadily you advance down the stairs leaving the doors open for now. Finally as you get to the hallway you can see it curve out of view to the right maybe twenty feet ahead of you. Continuing on past the curve the hallway once again curves off to the left a ways ahead, but you can see doors lining this hallway on both sides. The group approaches the first door and you pause.

"I'm going to take a look inside these doors as we go, so be ready for anything" you warn them.

You step to the first door and touch it seeing no obvious handle. A blue circle appears in the center of the door, so you press your finger in the middle of the circle. The circle turns green and the door slides open into the wall. The room inside is fairly large with a ring of light appearing in the center of the ceiling that illuminates the room. Looking around it appears to be sleeping quarters of some sort. Frames of beds are stacked on the opposite wall, with what appear to be mattresses stacked next to them. There are small metal boxes stacked together on one of the side walls, and it looks like there are cabinets and dressers lining the opposite wall.

You carefully enter the room followed by the girls and you make your way to the mattresses. Surprisingly they appear in good condition still. You kind of expected them to be falling apart, and the frames seemed in good condition too.

"It's clothing" Yvette said looking inside a box she opened. Walking over you looked inside another to confirm it was clothing of various types. As you approached your box you noticed another circle appear on the wall. Pressing it a door shaped part of the wall slid backwards and then into the wall, and you saw inside a series of stalls on one side and sinks and mirrors on the other side. Opening one of the stalls you saw what was clearly a toilet, a bathtub, and some shelving with some towels and various bottles.

"It's a bathroom, and it looks like we have our bathtubs too" you said cheerfully as you walked back into the room. The girls had started going through the boxes and sorting the various clothing by size and type, but quickly smiled at each other when they heard you say there were bathtubs.

"Let's check the other rooms" you tell the group. The girls step in line behind you as you move along the hallway.

The next room is a kitchen it appears. You find pots and pans, plates and utensils, and two doors that once open are clearly a walk in refrigerator and a walk in freezer, and even better they appear to be functional. Unfortunately there isn't any food, but that isn't surprising. You can't help but get the feeling that everything looks a bit like Star Trek was their reality. Which then makes you wonder exactly who it was that left this place behind.

Moving to the next room the group can only stare in amazement at what you assume is some kind of reactor that powers the place. You can also see tubing of flowing water along the walls which you assume means that the sinks and things work, and you kind of chastise yourself for not having tried to turn on any of the water anywhere. However, the reactor is certainly the star of the show. I circular column in the center of the room raises up to what looks like a glass orb with another circular column on top of the orb leading to the ceiling. Inside the glass orb is what looks like a miniature sun maybe one foot in diameter. Little solar flares burst off of it and get sucked back in as the little sun slowly spins in the orb.

"Wow" is all you can muster to say.

"Yah that about sums that up" Rene says stepping to your side and grabbing your hand. The group surrounds the orb just watching the little sun for a long time.

"If that is a little sun, then whatever that glass orb surrounding it is, is likely the strongest substance on this planet" you muse. "We shouldn't be able to stand this close without getting burned up, or pulled into its gravity, or even stare at it like this without ruining our eyes. This is such an impressive level of technology that I'm kind of scared of it" you add.

"We should probably continue on" Annabel says finally breaking you all out of your trance.

One last room appears to be another bathroom like the one in the bedroom. Being the last door in the hallway you can see in this part you follow the hallway around its curve to the left and again you are stunned by what you see. The hallway opens up into a gigantic room. It spreads hundreds of feet both left and right to thirty foot tall walls where you can see giant closed doors. About fifty feet ahead of you is a ramp that leads to a gigantic door where the ceiling meets the ramp. It is pretty obvious you had walked over this chamber when you were all exploring before. There is a room with a big window to your right which you figure is the control room. None of this is the real amazing part.

In the center of this room, almost like it is sleeping, lays a robotic dinosaur that you are thinking is a Tyrannosaurus Rex from what you can see. It is easily twice the size of Lysandra.

"Ok...let's not turn that thing on until we learn more about it if we can" you tell the girls who are all staring wide eyed at it.

"What is it" Yvette asks in a hushed voice.

"That appears to be a mechanical Tyrannosaurus Rex. I guess this being here shouldn't be surprising considering they have a mini sun in another room, yet I am still surprised" you respond.

"What kind of T-Rex" Jane asks in shock.

"Oh...um...a robot...if you know that term" you try explaining, but you still see a confused look on everyone's face. "It isn't alive, it's made of metal, but can still move around as if it were alive" you say trying to make it as simple as you can for them.

"Oh" Jane replies. Starting back at the T-Rex.

"So uh...can we keep it" she asks smirking to herself.

"Once we make sure it isn't going to eat us...sure...we'll keep it" you chuckle.
