Yes you do.

This was a big decision. You were a bit scared at the prospect of dating such a tall woman. India still is a pretty prudish country. People would deride and mock you for your choice. But then again, when would they not. Kowtowing to peoples wishes never got you anywhere. You decide to take a stand. You'd be lying if you said didn't have a crush on her too during the time you knew each other.

"I'd...like to meet Riya again. It's been too long."

"Great...I'll set you up with her. She talks so much about you. About how you would always help the underclassmen with their activities and projects. She already regards you highly. I'm sure she will say yes!" Arya says with a big smile.

You both finish your lunch and Arya volunteers to wash the dishes. You go and sit down on the couch and wait for her to come so that you can finish watching the movie.

Arya comes over and plops down right next to you. She has her phone in her hand and seems to be calling someone.

"Who are you calling sis?"

"Riya." she answers.

*Woah this is moving fast.* you think to yourself.

You hear Riya pick up the phone. Arya gets up off the couch and goes upstairs to talk to her. You want to protest, as you wanted to hear what she would say, but decided otherwise. You didn't want her to hear you on her end. You wait for Arya anxiously. It's been more than ten minutes now. What could be taking her so long. You half wanted to sneak upstairs to hear what they were talking about but you decide otherwise. You finally hear your sister come downstairs and sit beside you on the couch again.

"So.....What did she say?" you ask her.

"She said yes. Although I had to convince her a lot. She was too shy to meet you. Turns out she actually kinda looks up to you. She didn't think she was good enough for you and was afraid you wouldn't want to meet someone like her. I had to tell her that you were pretty shy yourself and you were also interested in New Females. Don't tell her I said any of this though or I'll beat you up...badly..she happens to be a very good friend of mine so if you don't like her...just let her down gently, okay?"

"Yeah I'll be nice to her. I'm not a bad guy you know. And by the way we used to be close friends you know."

"I know Da, which is exactly why I'm setting you up with her. You're a good man and a great brother. I hope you two hit it off. She's a great person too, she's just way more reserved. You'll find that she can be very fun. She also likes to read comics and play video games, a real geek just like you." Arya says. Although unbeknownst to you a look of pain and sadness flashes through her face for the briefest moments before she smiles back at you again. Nothing would make her more happy than your own well being and happiness.

"I've known her longer Arya." you sigh at your sister. The both of them seemed to have become fast friends after you left. Although outwardly you appeared calm, on the inside you were a mess. You started wondering about all the things that could go wrong. Murphy's law kept popping in your mind. What can go wrong will go wrong. "I just...I've always talked to her as a friend, not as someone I'd like to date. What am I even supposed to say to her."

Arya could see your panic. "Calm down bro. She's very sweet. You don't have to be afraid of her. Just be yourself. Oh by the way, you're gonna meet her tomorrow at 1:00 pm at the old coffee center near your college..you know which one."

"Yeah I do know that place. But doesn't she have her college?"

"It's the end of the semester dude. How could you forget? There's a break until the second week of January."

"Oh yeah.....fuck......it seems like a lifetime ago." you muse.

Arya just smiles. "Let's just watch the movie."

You both continue watching Inception from where you left off. Midway through the movie Arya moves in closer and leans her head on your shoulder. You lean right back and get comfortable.
